Dolphin: next easy ship to make huge amount of credits?

Here, I'll be ahead of the game!

"Nerf the Dolphin! It's too fun and makes money! Kill our game faster! Nerf fun!!"

Am I doing it right?

Passenger missions have paid well since the started.

They are good fun, i use my Python, but I'll look in to the Dolphin at some point.

From the beta videos of the Dolphin boosting, it sounds like it's grinding up sneezing kittens as fuel. Lol

The dolphin boosting actually sounds like a dolphin, if you listen carefully...

Stopped off at Jameson's last night and got me a fully loaded Dolphin which I've named 'Ecco' I didn't have the Arsenic for a grade 5 FSD upgrade yet but it should be well into the late 30's/Early 40's when done (27 for now with only a 9% upgrade) And boosts to 440 with Grade 3 Clean drive tuning. Quite pleased with it for now, looks to be more passenger transport missions that pay decent money which is nice, spent a lot of time doing and enjoying the sight seeing tours.

Is that an Ecco the Dolphin reference?

That game was so eerie and beautiful.

Hehehe...most obvious name is best name
I actually can't even remotely complain. In beta I named mine Dauphin. I can hide behind the fact it's the title of the heir of the throne of France, historically, but the fact is it's just the French word for dolphin.

I just A specced a Dolphin named Flipper last night.

Mine’s called the WAYWARD FIN:

As for the boost sound... hands down the Orca has the best boost sound ever, but the Dolphin...

Have you heard the Keelback’s boost sound? The Dolphin’s is neat, but the Keelback has IMHO the absolute best boost sound in the game. It’s not even a sound, but more like a horn of swiftness declaring for everyone to get out of your way, lol.

The Dolphin boost is the BEST boost noise in the game!

I can almost make out what the lil' fellas are saying: GO FASTER, GO FASTER, WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Edit: I called mine "Flipside" :D

I like the Dolphin boost, it's cute.

Still, my top two are Clipper (2) and Orca (1)

I simply love the warning bell that sounds when the boost engages on the Orca...Perfect for a passenger ship.

This ship should be fantastic for new players and some old players will probably find a use for it too. Glad they buffed the Orca and I'm not sure did they buff the Beluga again in beta for a second time? Either way Dolphin is a beautiful lil ship that will see lots of use. It has one of the most cozy lil high tech bridges you will find in the game.

Whirrrr... DING!

All that's missing is: "This is your captain speaking. Please return your tray tables to their locked and upright positions, we're about to haul ___!"

Orca is actually usable now. Mine does 30LY with prismatic shields/reinforced bulkheads and boosts to 480. Could barely manage 20LY pre-buff.

The Beluga is still stupid and pointless. The only reason to buy it is luxury cabins for VIPs, but VIPs hog the whole cabin and are typically wanted and/or hate scans. Beluga is too slow and flimsy to comfortably evade scans/assassins.

This is where the Dolphin should come in useful, as it is fast enough to not have to worry about scans. I just couldn't find any missions that were luxury class, so I gave up.

I've enjoyed my short time with the Dolphin. It's good for the casual (low credit) player like myself. :) Glad FD added it to their fleet.

Not a bad little ship, but I feel it could do with one extra internal slot to be really useful. At the moment, it feels like an either-or ship when it comes to passenger class. Best outfitted to be an economy ship or a business class. Possibly first class, but not a mix, and almost certainly not a regular-use luxury one - unless you take single-digit passenger numbers on single missions on sightseeing tours one after another.

It's that Friday night taxi home, with the overpowering scent of too many magic trees, but at least it's neat and tidy inside.

Yep, this is what it’s ideal for: flying one tourist or sightseeing job at a time, the ones that are always secretive. I’ve never stacked these jobs anyway because they often go in different directions and areas, so the small cabin count of the Dolphin makes it ideal for these and it’s what I plan to use it for. Mixed with some exploration along the way of course, hence the SRV on mine.
