Dominion update question’s!

Hi, I started playing JWE in December 2020 so I was not there for the initial launch of the Fallen kingdom update! My question is: did the Fallen Kingdom update include every dinosaur seen in the film? I ask because if that’s true then the roster for JWE2 will expand so much it’s not even funny!
Note: I probably could of found a YouTube video on this but I have Covid-19 so I have to stay in my room without a tv:(

Yes, the Fallen Kingdom update contained every new dinosaur seen in the film. I'm expecting the same for Dominion!

Fallen Kingdom gave 6 entirely new creatures for free 2 weeks after launch. As of right now more than half of the "new" dinosaurs confirmed to appear in Dominion are already in JWE, so I think it's safe to say we can expect every new dino to be included. We're only really looking at 3 or 4 entirely new creatures (Quetz, Moros intrepidus, Oviraptor, and possibly Atrociraptor (although the director insists it's Deinonychus)) so I'd also expect existing JWE dinos will get a "2022" skin as well.

Yes, as there is a probable chance that Dominion content may be a PDLC (Paid Downloadable Content). My only reasons for that are it’s not just new species that a Dominion release may come with, it’s lots more than that like Dominion premier designs for existing in-game dinos, as well as a probable Chaos Theory game based on it.

The Fallen Kingdom free update included 6 new dino species who first premiered in that respective movie. There was another free update that added 1 new species, which was from the Battle at Big Rock update to coincide with the upcoming short film of the same name. I don’t know if JWE2 will do the same with Dominion, but that doesn’t mean I personally have no doubt Dominion content will not ever be a thing. It’s just a matter of knowing how, if so.

When it comes to new species, there are so far only 6 new Dominion species that the game doesn’t have. It’s worth noting, however, that some of these dinos first appeared in The Prologue, a new short film that consists of footage originally for the final cut of Dominion, until it was decided to be its own thing away from the final theatrical cut. So, I’m not sure if all, or any in general, will still be in the actual film itself, but I heard rumors that they will.

1. Quetzalcoatlus (The Prologue)
2. Oviraptor (The Prologue)
3. Moros intrepidus (The Prologue)
4. Lystrosaurus
5. Therizinosaurus
6. “the unknown raptor species”

Again, if anything releases to coincide with the release of Jurassic World: Dominion, it might not be just new dino species. It may also include a new Chaos Theory game that’s based on it, which I have no doubt on.

Then, there are the dino designs. Some dinos in-game don’t match their on-screen counterparts, and some current film series dinos have new or reoccurring notable designs the game doesn’t have.

1. Dreadnoughtus (The Prologue)
2. Iguanodon (The Prologue)
3. Giganotosaurus
4. Tyrannosaurus rex (The Prologue)
5. Parasaurolophus
6. (???) Allosaurus
7. (???) Carnotaurus

Another crazy theory I can think of is there might be something that adds something new to the Campaign, but as its own separate game that takes place after Dominion. Considering that the in-game Campaign is explicitly confirmed by Frontier in a published journalist interview to actually be a part of the film series “canon” to bridge the gap between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion.

I thought frontier said the game takes place 10 years after fallen kingdom which would mean 2028 while dominion takes place in present day 2022

I keep thinking there were more planned campaign missions that got pulled because of Dominion getting delayed.

The main thing that I can think of as a campaign mission that could be a major thing is one based around the lagoons...because I'm pretty sure the Mosasaurus is the only aquatic from the movies out that's shown up currently, having more types in Dominion would fit.Though, theoretically, with the other skins based on Jurassic Park: The Game, you might have a Tylosaurus that might have been out for who knows how long if it did get out.

You also have ones like Blue and Rexy that are out there which will play a role in the movie.

Personally, I'd love to have some extra missions added as we go with things being revealed...such as with the 1st scene that is after the prologue with Rexy wrecking a drive in theater, something that could be a fun map/setup where you might have to set up near a populated area and keep taking down and containing dinosaurs and other creatures that are heading for it for some reason...such as a herding migration with some predators following or trying to intercept them...

They could. However, Colin Trevorrow confirmed that particular game is “soft-canon”. Jack Ewins, who worked on official JW in-universe content, further elaborated that “soft-canon” means something that builds on something already established, but ultimately stands as its own thing away from it. There was no official “canon” stance for JP:TG at all during its time, either.

I was mainly pointing towards the lagoons being the only animal thing unused in the Campaign and the Tylosaurus is the only official/semi-official aquatic that would likely be useable for capture missions

Knowing how many designs for existing dinosaurs there are, do you all think we will get an adult Dilo in Dominion? And if so, do we get a skin making it larger?

I would say only if a proper sized Dilo appears in Dominion. Unfortunately, CC let us down on that front so I don't have high hopes.

The “adult” Dilo thing really all sprouted from a JP:TG marketing video a decade ago. But since it’s “soft-canon” to Trevorrow, the “adult size” Dilo concept from that video is not part of the film series’ universe. Besides, it was contrary in-game to JP:TG already in some way.

If I remember right, the Adult Dilo art came from a motion comic thing that was never finished, and was supposed to be connected to Jurassic World as something about the return to Ilsa Nublar to recover data and things from the old facilities. That was in combination with the size of the real adult dilophosaurus

It wasn't connected to JP:TG
