Yes, but it takes more work and effort to do so, and typically, those kind of players are just plain too lazy to even go to that much trouble, since only one of them will get any reward out of it, if there is reward to be had.

you assume too much. if someone wants to go out their way to make someone else's life miserable they will. reward or no reward. tears are the reward.

I think youre going to be disappointed when you see wings get implemented next month that solves this problem. You should check out the Mobius Private PvE group. Feels like more people playing there than there is on Open, and none of them will shoot at you or try to take your stuff.

There's no need for player storage, except our ships, which is already taken care of. Since we don't accumulate objects/items, no storage is necessary.

Elite is a Space Trading/Combat/Exploration simulator/game. It is not a typical MMORPG. Players are spread out in the galaxy, far and wide. Any changes to this would make ED not part of the Ellite series.

All of the suggestions listed in the OP, are directly out of Eve Online's list of features. To include them, would do nothing more than make a clone of Eve Online, with all of it's problems, and no possible redeeming quality.

Eve Online fits a niche in the online gaming suite of games, as does Elite: Dangerous, as well as other games on the market and forthcoming. Why can't we leave well enough alone, allow FD to make THEIR game. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other games for you to play. If you want to be a business mogul, or CEO of a corporation, or the big bad general/leader of an organization, there are games out there that accommodate such play. ED isn't one of them, once you come to terms with that, you'll be much happier.

You can have your trading and player storage, they aren't exclusive.

Ok..some of the ideas are fine but those EvE-like will never get implemented. In Elite universe, pilots are just insignificant individuals that cant own anything of the significant influence (station, corps, etc), and im glad it is that way. Though i would love to own/rent a hangar where i can store the modules & guns so i can easily swap them in and out after i hunt for them in other systems.

Crafting would be nice addition, but i believe FD DEV already mentioned in Beta phase that the NPC is already doing the crafting behind the scene (station crafted though weps and modules for you to buy, and the mats they got are from player/npc trading) so i doubt player crafted items will never be implemented, or thats not going to be implemented any time soon.

you just don't seem to get it, there is no need for storage, there is no accumulation of items in ED, there's no need for it.

Sure there is an accumulation of items. Just because you wouldn't find it useful doesn't mean others would.

  • You could make several runs to a system and sell when needed.
  • Secret stash of illegal goods.
  • Temporary storage place when many lightyears out in unclaimed space
  • A place to store your mining materials for your buddy to come pick up and transport while you mine.
  • Group of guys farm USS in a system, store illegal stash in one place for another buddy to do runs to and sell.

That's just five off the top of my head.

Err, the suggestions for patch 1.4 are all very well and good. However...

Does the OP realise how much coding is required to make them a reality? Try coming back in 6-12 months and some of those features might be implemented.
Way to ambitious for the next patch in my opinion.
