They should add a ship that dose combat not by flying around and around but a ship that releases a swarm of drones that do the fighting death as the player vessel sits back and provides support by fire and more drones as needed. You could kind of use the mechanics of the thargoid swarm for drones swarm. Patron carrier is also ripe with customization potential, weapon types, style, attack/defense behavior. It can also fit within game events seeing as how humanity might is developing weapons based on the thargoid.

Never understood why they made an indestructible ship, put deadly gun turrets on it and then when opportunity presents itself gets surrounded by system authority vessels.
Even outside the bubble those gun turrets are all but useless.
They could be used in some pretty awesome PVP engagements!
