Tempted.

My last exploration trip ended in suicide 9000ly out from the bubble due to loneliness and space madness. Having someone to hold my hand may help!

We were jumping off cliffs in SRVs 8000ly from the bubble on the last trip.

This sounds damn cool. So far, I've been exploring on my own.

Being rather new to ED I need to ask, how does something like this work? I'm guessing you play in Open or a Private Group? What happens if I can only play for an hour or maybe have to skip a day? Do I have to catch up with the train? Is there, perhaps, a primer I can read somewhere to help me understand how these expeditions work? I'd love to participate but I also don't want to be the monkey wrench in the works because my schedule keeps me out of ED for a day or two.

Last time out there was more then enough time to reach the muster points, it's not a race but a an exploration trip, some like to scan every rock they bump into, that takes time.
I'm sure our gluttenous.......err I mean glorious command team will accomodate in enough time for everyone to come along.

You don't have to be there at every waypoint. It really is funny with a group of you though, thousands of LY from home.
It gives you something to look forward to out in the black, for one

We play in open but have a private group too which sometimes helps with instancing. At the beginning a number of waypoints are set to keep us all heading roughly on the same path as well as muster points at key points in the trip to allow everyone to get together and allow others to catch up. As long as everyone is on each other's friends lists you'll never find you're too far away from another commander. People don't play everyday and we generally get a nice spread. I've crashed my Asp once and had to catch up 9kly, oh and there was that time I was about 7kly out and destroyed my only SRV, went back to the bubble and caught back up... Good times!!

Tempted but RL is limiting my gaming time after this week. Currently at Witch's Head SC, and was gonna solo to the Heart/Soul Nebulas (nebuli?) My explorconda is looking pretty on her maiden "get me outta the bubble captain" long distance voyage.

Post up the main group's 20, if I/others can catch up, we will.
