DSSA Commanders, asking for your support to go around the whole Milky Way

Hi all DSSA commanders!

I'm in the process of topping up my carrier, the Wandering Star, before I set off for an extremely long expedition. I'm planning to visit in one trip all the sectors of the Galaxy, which to my knowledge no carrier is attempting at the moment.

I had already started something similar, having done a whole circumnavigation first, and the round of the inner arms later. It was in the middle of that when carriers were announced, so I came back to grind some more cash and I'm now ready to travel again.

Anyway, my route should look like this (apologies if it looks busy/confusing):

Journey.jpg

Now, for a long time, I had another route planned. In that route I had to backtrack a lot and keep passing by Bubble/Explorer's Anchorage and Colonia to minimize the time I would spend mining.

Then like out of a dream, the DSSA popped up, and hopefully this would make my life much easier, if I can count on your support.

I would like to stop at every DSSA carrier anyway, just to pass by and say hello. It's nice to have milestones to look forward to.
In fact, this post is more a way to introduce myself than anything else.

But it would be great if I could buy Tritium at every stop, so that I could reduce mining to a bare minimum (no time at all would be perfect). Would this be possible? I think it would be around 5-6000 tons per stop, more or less.

I've seen the list of all your carriers deployed or about to be, but I still have a couple of questions:

- what's the best way to find and communicate with each carrier's owner? Knowing if and how much tritium is available would make my own planning much easier.

- Can I join (if needed) the DSSA discord or is it reserved to fleetcomm members? (I'm in Canonn by the way).

- Do you have any recommendation/advice that I haven't thought of?

Thanks, I hope to see you all out in the Black.

For everyone else, my carrier is fitting refuel/repair and Armory for every explorer to enjoy, so if you've landed like a potato yet again and the next DSSA carrier is too far away to repair your hull feel free to drop by.

Looks like an awesome adventure! But when do you plan to leave? I can't speak for the dssa but from what i've read and seen, it may be a little too early for them to support the kind of expeditions you're planning. There are only about a dozen carriers deployed so far and if you look at Qohen's tracker, most of them won't be deployed for months, and some not until next year. The array is going to take at least a year to be fully set up, then they have to get enough miners like me to move out there and mine fuel for their markets. That's going to take time too.
-just my 2 cents

Hello,

contact with DSSA is somewhat dispersed as many FC cmdrs are using their own/groups Discords (etc) to co-ordinate deployment, but most can be contacted on Fleetcomm Discord. Please do join us.

It is early days yet, and many of the planned DSSA Fleet Carriers haven't even been purchased, let alone deployed into posistion, so you may want to wait for the network to be completed before you start. It sounds like a cool expedition though!

As for Tritium sales, that will down to the individual FC cmdrs.

Fly far cmdr!

I'm actually do something like this, but without my carrier. I just corrected my plan to if the region have already the DSSA carrier I visit it, if not, then just visit the region. Really waited to start this journey, I'm just not sure about how it will ends. Success or fail.

Well, I'll make do with whate there is, and mine the rest. I've been itching to leave for a while now, I might as well just go.

Thanks!

You'll be fine, carriers along the way are nice but we've been exploring long before that.

Bring repairs just in case! And materials to make limpets and heat sinks. If you don't boost into a planet you'll be ok:)

I'm leaving as soon as my cargo is full, maybe Sunday.

I might buy a few more modules first and little things here and there.

Good points, I thought it was much further ahead, all else fails I'll revert to my old planned route and pass by stations more often.

You are always welcome to come by DSSA #11 for refueling, either to buy Trit from my Carrier at 20,000 / ton (1/2 the price at Colonia) or to mine it yourself at a excellent double hotspot only 7 LY from my parking spot (system details in attached image). I am at Aiphaisty OD-T E3-4 permanently.

The DSSA Buurian Anchorage (#23 on the DSSA tracker) will be at your service when you pass through the Empyrian Straits.

We won't get there until late July, but once we are operational, we intend for the Anchorage to be a tritium depot. Upon arrival, we should be nearly full but I am keeping an alt on board forever, to be able to fulfill tritium orders if needed/if i have the time.

There will also be places around to mine, but we wait to scout the area until we arrive.

Our address will be:

Dryau Ausms KG-Y e3390, Empyrean Straits

See you soon o7

The DSSA Aristarchos might actually be your first step in the DSSA network, looking at your map.

I have a bit over 6k Tritium in storage, though I'd like to keep some (half?) back for further use. Since I buy for 120k/t I would have to price it around that as well. Contact me if you want to set up something (discord, reddit). There are also two Trit2 double hotspots very close to the DSSA Aristarchos, in case you want to mine a bit in Xibalba as well.

Depending on your loadout and plotting you might even be able to make it to the DSSA Aristarchos from the bubble in a straight line and back without needing additional Tritium (besides the tons you pick up at the Aristarchos), though its a close call and depends a lot on how much capacity you have left on the FC to get as much as possible in the bubble.

That's great, thanks man! I'll DM as soon as I start to get closer:) See you in the Black.

That's bloody great! I'll set this up in my route planner:) And I'll drop you a message when I get close. Nice, it's already more stops than I had hoped (which was 0).

Yeh man, we exchanged a few messages on Reddit right? You'll be the first stop. It will take a while as I want to take a specific route so I'm not cutting straight, and I'll probably have to stop for a mining run along the way.

I'll get in touch when I'm close though.

R4nger0 actually started a trip through all 42 regions, with an optimized route, you can find it here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/42-region-galactic-route-the-r4-big-pete-galactic-tour.452057/
Following that one should reduce your traveltime and fuel cost significantly. I don't know if he ever finished the trip.

Oh yeh I'm not the first to do the trip of the regions, I think it's the first with carrier support though:)

What I don't like about R4nger0 route is that it merely touches a tiny little corner of some regions, I'm more for thorough exploration:) I'm aware my route is not at all efficient.

DSSA Kraut at your service! :)
of course I cant ensure Tritium stock whenever you "accidentially" pass by,
but you may contact me when time gets near and I'm sure we'll sort something out ;)
