Greed is an easy trap to fall in to. I agree with Techmonkey, it’s more important to play the game. I think my biggest concern with this is that if people are simply duplicating their stock, is this what’s crashed the market?Why one would need so much money anyway is almost beyond me

Well Elite doesn't have a progression in a classic way, you could get a carrier using a sidewinder from the start without "progressing" through the ships.
People exploit in any game because mostly they can. In Elite? Why bother stacking ridiculous amounts of missions or shoot rocks until you suffer a brain aneurysma
just to pay in game rent for a mostly single player experience if you can have it faster...
Kinda excessive when only the rich can do the glitch but realistic. FD likes to tell players where their proper place is by gameplay.
in before rich get richer conspiracy... FDev doesn't even know the difference between a Courier and a Clipper. As any game dev they have a vision of how the game is supposed to be played, unfortunately they don't play it themselves so the vision of theirs is kind of blurry...
