[DW2] Let's see your DW2 photography!

Jumped right between these two. Almost had to use a heat sink.

Let the pinkification begin!

Latecomer to DW2...first expedition...still in Solo as I got jumped near WP5...Never been to Colonia before - so stopping there - grabbing some mining kit / transfer some higher rated modules - before heading to WP6...

Scanning a system on the way - Captains Log reported a high amount of Yttrium - 25(!) geological locations w00t! - needed only two drops to get my remaining 30 units or so of Yttrium to max..(stopped at point just short of WP5 and did same for Polonium...Don’t know how much Jumponium need to cross to Beagle so just “topping off the tanks”)

Biggest thing for me is the “skyful of stars”...Keep imagining if Earth were located under such a sky...

Looking forward to helping with station near Sag A* and seeing the sky near the galactic core...hope to see you in The Black..

Ran across this enroute to WP6. First ELW I've run across for DW2 that didn't have a TFC moon with an atmosphere.

One of the interesting planets in the system orbiting a secondary star. I really like the gaps within the rings.

Nothing remarkable about this gas giant, but it's got some interesting moons.

Taking off from WP6. A white dwarf and the galactic disk seen as background, along with part of one of the nearby gas giants in the bottom left.

Where's my brown pants? Or what happened at the notable phenomena at the Garden of Shangri-La.

I took these two photos after I panicked and lit out of the notable phenomena at the Gardens of Shangri-La. I regrouped and went back to scan the stuff I missed and collect these photos.

Notice I've lost 14% of my hull. That all happened with some unlucky strikes: the Lagrange cloud lightning can fry instruments, strip shields and melt your hull quite suddenly. The crack of electrical discharge right on top of you is quite a proper jump scare.

Lucky I packed extra brown pants for this voyage.

The one at Dryoea Flyuae AA-A G392 may be not pink and not glowing any more, but it's orbit still lies inside the jets of the two neutrons :)

I've missed posting for a while. I'll have to try to remember to do so when I get home.
My avatar has grown a bit of a beard and longer hair. Getting a bit scruffy.

All I can say here is - I'm damn glad I went with the CLEAN Drive tuning option - because my ship runs pretty damn cool. I don't think I could get this close to this White Dwarf/Black Hole combo otherwise.

Even as cool as my systems run, I had to turn off about half my modules to get as close as I did - and I had to drop a heat sink on the way out to ensure I could get back into supercruise without cooking myself.
