It took me a while for my account to get verified, so this was posted about 3 hours ago on the E:D subreddit. I wrote a survey asking general questions of Elite players.
If you want, please take the few minutes to answer the questions. The results are public, and I have them represented in both spreadsheet and graphical form thanks to Google docs.

Thanks for taking the time to fill it out!

I find surveys to be generally worthless and self-serving; more of a "look at me" thing. Posting a bunch of links to one that's not even hosted on this forum, and with NO indication what's it's all about is even more worthless.

I am sorry if this bothers you. I was simply curious about Elite's userbase, and wanted others to be able to satisfy their curiosity as well. This survey was simply for inquisitory purposes; It was not hosted on this forum because I was not sent a verification email on time - in addition to the fact that Google has a better survey maker with live result spreadsheets and more options.

If I get a bunch of complaints I will delete this post in order to keep people happy.

Is that really necessary? Would it hurt to be civil? Frankly, I think your response has far less worth than the original post.

Regarding the separate reddit/forum surveys, since OP's publishing the underlying, separating them should be trivial.

Interesting results. Even though the pvp crowd seems quite vocal on here, only 40% engages in pvp combat, and just 23% is excited for the wings update...

What is the survey about? It seems a bit suspicious not to say.

I've completed your survey. It does not say but I was hopeful it is something worthwhile like a study as part of a Uni course or similar.

Just one note:

It has been declared since the outset that Player run "Executive Control" Ships will not be part of the Game. It is just you and your ship, you can own as many as you like but only fly one at a time.

If you want to play a spreadsheet game, you're in the wrong game.
