A search on https://www.tmdn.org/tmview/welcome ("Elite: deadly") shows that both FD and Ian Bell applied for that trademark, respectively at EU level and UK level. Both in early 2015. The registration are for different classes though. FD is asking protection for software, game and plaything, and entertainment or cultural activities ; while Ian Bell is requesting protection for printed materials and clothing (these are class denominations only, actual scope of protection may vary).
Maybe... I repeat maybe Ian finally came up with a name for the Elite Musical?

That Elite Controller is pretty cool. I'd love to have one for PC
No need to buy it for console, you can already play it while sitting on your couch. Just stream the game from your PC to your TV. Steam Link for example. There are several other methods available too.
so ED for xbox is gonna be shoe horned into Xbox's new "beta access program" so you can try it, then decide to get in early or wait till further development (essentially Beta access)
wy do i feel alot of ppl who bought the game after dec 16th are not gonna be pleased that xbox players get similar access to pc beta players in essence..
