Its already to late.. EA have screwed their customers and releases so many times now that i for one have lost all belief in them...

I am so glad i didn't jump on the sim city bandwagon of grief and frustration, and yes Mass effect 3 ending made me cry.. of how bad it was!

The only EA game i play now or days is BF3 and even that has got me screaming and cursing at EA at times, with disconnects and not being able to join games because EA's servers are down all the time not to speak of Origin (worst platform ever).

Which one plays games and which one plays the stock exchange?

... not to speak of Origin (worst platform ever).

I have never understood why MUST install Origin, just to download my Sims 3 purchases (I can still launch Sims 3 without starting Origin so it does beg the question, why?)

Because EA have perverted the definition of "Always on". And they want to spread their filth platform where ever they can :)

Speaking of EA, any Fifa PC fans among you must know by now that the PC is not getting the 'all new' Ignite engine.

Well, one of these is 'Ignite', one's modded Fifa 13 PC. Which one's which???

And Origin is the worst PoS client in the history of gaming. Worse than Games For Windows Live, and that is really saying something!

Get this: I wanted to update my copy of Fifa 13 with the new patch. After doing so, it was crystal clear that the game hadn't correctly updated; none of the improvements were present. After a bit of digging around the forums, it turned out I actually had to uninstall and reinstall the game! Really EA? OK, so I dig out my Fifa 13 disc, install the game, and update the patch. Still not working.

Guess what the eventual solution was? Reinstall Fifa 13 and update the patch by downloading THE WHOLE THING FROM ORIGIN DESPITE THE FACT I HAD THE GAME ON BLOODY DISC! Only after doing that did the patch work. Really, EA?

Not to mention the farse that is SimCity. I had it as a birthday present, the game is wonderful but the implementation is the biggest joke in the history of the entire industry :( such a shame. Maxis should split.

Oh yes, the Sim City charade. It's laughable... if you didn't shell out of course. ;)

EA's comments remind me of an alien out of Mars Attacks. The one with the speaker squawking out "We come in peace" whilst blasting all asunder.

There was no way I wasn't getting a new SimCity, and it is very good - but not as good as it could have been.

I seem to remember that EA tried being 'Mr Nice guy' for a short while when Bobby Kotick was gunning for the title 'most hated figure of the gaming community' with MW2. It's clear that they have long since reverted to type and will probably do the same again even if they do try to be less hated again.

I remember a time when Electronic Arts was a source of wonder and goodness. They made a lot of good games before they succumbed to the dark side. Man, I'm old.

Surely the best possible solution, if you don't like a games publisher, is to refuse to buy their games (regardless of how much you like a title)?

Im just saying don't screw your customers, but at the end of the day we buy their games anyway don't we?

But as an old saying says "Hell has no fury like a gamer scorned" or was it something else?.. oh well :D

Been a while since I saw that version of EA's logo and your right metatheurgist, back then EA was a great company making great games. I still recall the first EA title I bought for my Amiga and it wasn't even a game, Dan Silva's Deluxe Paint. Had hours of fun with that back in the day.
