Earning a Ferrari?

I suck at combat, and i want to improve my weapon to get better at combat, so i would like to Earn a Ferrari to improve some weapons. However i need 10 combat surface encounters.

Can someone tell me if taking part in a surface CZ whilst in your ship counts (Firing missiles as the enemy drop). I have done 2 of these and been on the winning side both times, but my codex is still showing '0' on the combat zones?

Also do you have to go through Frontline or can you just fly into a surface CZ, pick a side and do as i mentioned above?

This does work, or did: it was the only way I could unlock her with my frame rate.

Both are unreliable tbh - go for a Toyota, they'll outlive the apocalypse.

I believe you have to sell the bonds to Frontline first to have the counter go up?

when you fly around galaxy, always take a peek in the gunsmiths shop for help.sometimes they sell graded guns,like my l6 grade 2 bit more pricey thou than mats.

I had a honda once, but it tried to kill me on the motorway. So I'm suspecting that it tried to start the apocalypse. Perhaps you might think that is an egocentric point of view, but I'm known for my utilitarian and humanitarian behavior, so you'd have to think again sonny.

Well thats why you don't buy cars from a motorcycle manufacturer - would you buy a Harley Davison 4 door sedan?

I am (still) rubbish at combat. However, going to your first CZs on foot - bite the bullet, no pun intended. I'm 20 times better than I was when I started.

Jump into the CZ, find a bunch of AI on your team and run with them - don't be a lone wolf (yet). Just follow them, shoot things and learn the ropes.

Like others have said, you don't need to win them - just participate.

Also, since there are AI on your team, it means less fire aimed at you also.

To the OP - I don't think strafing from a ship could work, since the option to pick a side only appears when you get on foot as far as I remember, but in the same way I think it should work even without signing up through Frontline, can't see the point of letting you pick a side anyway otherwise.
