Easy way to find Compromised Nav Beacons?

Yeah. I tend to set camp around Altair.
A friend said he found one in LHS 2459, but today since the merge; that's now a normal...

I've been to several Anarchy systems around Altair in hope to find a compromised Nav Beacon without any luck.

Anyone else got any ideas how to make finding these easier for me?

Compromised nav beacons are definitely not exclusive to anarchy systems. I had been camped out at Ross 773 for a while which is not an anarchy. These beacons seem to not allow a distress call to authority ships, making them ideal for pirates and smugglers.

Based on that, it's a good assumption that this occurs when a criminal/pirate faction has gained a lot of influence in a system, but is not in control (in the case where the system is not anarchy). The civil war status (when one of the warring factions is pirate/criminal) may have to do with this as well. All of this needs verification.

FYI I am an xb1 player, so no promises that this holds true for PC.

Awesome place to farm. If you're good enough at combat to take down elite level NPCs, you are talking about accumulating one-mil+ credits in an hour. Don't be shy about retreating though, as these are not your typical shieldless sidewinder pilots. For me, when my shields drop on my Fed Assault Ship, I begin to consider escape. If my hull hits 60% at any point, I'm out to repair and cash in. Don't bring cargo!

It should be noted that if you attack a "clean" ship (and the system is not anarchy) you will get a bounty! Even though authorities will not come, there are still bounty hunters. I've seen elite anacondas in a pack of three bounty hunting, so use caution.

There was a compromised nav beacon in Tjuapany (I think that's how it's spelled, could be Tjupany or Tjuapny) last week. It's Federation system exploited by Zachary Hudson. I was there bounty hunting in between doing the Security Operations a few systems over.

I've seen a few, but never took notice... Can someone tell this noob what the difference is between a Nav beacon, and one that's compromised?

I'll note the location should I see them again.

Compromised NAV beacons are ones that have been hacked or have broken down and are no longer able to summon the authorities in the event of an attack. The reduced level of security means that a greater number and level of pirates are present.

I'm at one in Kunti, but that's ALD's territory so if you're not imperial you will be destroyed for sure. There's a good amount of commanders there.

There's one in LFT 269, I was playing there in my Vulture a couple of nights ago. The system only has an outpost so don't take an Anaconda

Question, according to what I have read here navigation beacons can be compromised by hacking or destroying a beacon. Can you make it compromised by destroying it yourself? I ask this because I was bored between respawns of pirates at a regular nav beacon, so I targeted the beacon and destroyed it. It seemed like everything changed almost instantly, before it was spawning Eagles, sidewinder, asps and vipers. The moment I destroyed the beacon wanted pythons and condas started spawning and kept spawning until I left and returned.
