Economy Crashing after update 1.0.3

My zoo was very successful, and after the update, I begin to lose huge amounts of money without changing anything.
Most of it is the cost of food and refunds, which were not a problem at all before the update.

I currently lose 100,000 per 5 minutes, and before the update I used to get 50,000 per 5 minutes.

It is so bad I can no longer play in any of my zoos because they would be crashing economically in a few minutes, and it would practically be easier to start a new zoo than refactor them to work. (They have ~40 species and hundreds of animals)

Is anyone else experiending this?

Yes, I am having this same problem. It appears to me as though the issue is with vendors having no energy resulting in guests being unhappy and so I am losing sales and the guests are getting refunds en mass. I had 89 vendors, none of which had ANY energy, which is very abnormal. I fired them all, rehired them and put them in front of guest facilities and guest happiness and income started coming back and then it started going down again so I checked and once again all vendors were out of energy. I tried reorganizing my work zones and put in new staff buildings just for those zones but that didn't help. Even though some of them had perks from visiting the staff rooms they still had zero energy.

I had this too when I first played the game after the update. The problem was that guests were leaving the park and they weren’t donating anymore. Also new guests weren’t coming in quick enough. I let the game run for a year though (thankfully I had about a million in cash), and everything seems to have gone back to normal the following year. It’s odd, but maybe this’ll help you too if you can afford it.

Yes, that worked thank you. That little bug could be a franchise killer.
Happy to help! I hope they fix it regardless. Not everyone can afford to let things run at a massive loss, and as you say it could end many franchises.
