ED and ED-horizons crashing to black screen - known issue? help?

Hi,

Since 2.3.02 both me and my son have been frequently having the client crash to black screen. Shift-tab reveals the launcher in the background, the computer is still working.
We both have good machines (me a 1070 based laptop, him a 980TI based PC). I/we never had this prior to .02 but we hadnt been playing long enough to say its due to the update

It seems most frequent when jumping into or dropping out of super-cruise.

So I didnt put it on the bug forum as I dont want to waste Dev's time if its a simple fix or well known thing - We've been out of ED for a while and recently returned so we are not up on the 'state of the game' and current knowledge.

What I'd like most is for somebody to point out what I need to do to avoid it, tried turning off V-sinc and tried different modes (window, borderless and full screen).
The only mode not crashing is VR, but as we have only one Vibe (at the moment) playing on VR may not be the ideal fix.

Thanks.

I'm also experiencing crahses like never before. After 2.3.02 the game is crashing just after docking, when entering a RES site... and lately after 10min game play (not sure if a file got corrupted with such often problems).

I get the same crashes plus "Cannot connect to adjudication/transaction/matchmaking servers" I can't play this game for more than 20 minutes a day because of this. This sucks so bad.

I tried doing the Netalyzer thing for submitting a ticket but that won't work, I don't see the "start" button and I do have the JRE and JDK installed and working.

I've had a couple of these, certainly not many. My personal experience is that on the immediate launch of 2.3 and possibly a week after our so I got a lot of crashes and lost servers but now it seems to have calmed down and is decently stable. I maybe lose server from time to time but not regularly and it's possibly just my home internet.

crash to black screen = graphics fault, either software or hard ware.
though generally you get a warning that drivers have crashed if it resets itself. overheating causes this.

thought id add.
resontly i have been having loads of problems with win 10 creators update. lagging stuttering. unable to move tiles, slow opening of programs.
i have now resolved this my sys is back to being a fast system.
