iOS/Android Tablet API

As i saw the Menu to Navigate or Control your Subsystem i thought how great would it be if you could use your Tablet to Navigate through these. Choosing Destinations /Targets selecting subsystem on a Touchscreen.

I know for sure that if the Application provides an API you can use your Ipad as a peripheral Device (not sure About Android but why not).

What do you think?

I agree. How cool would it be to have an app on your phone telling you of the local changing market.

I can envision making that last run of the night before going to bed. The next day (in Real Life) you spot that the market has peeked, sell the goods in your hold, find a local commodity that has bottomed out, buy it all ready for your return to your ship that night.

How's that for an immersive game!

I was thinking of something similar myself. As a potential alternative to switching between the two side screens in the cockpit. Being able to set jump destination via the galaxy map, but on the tablet, and then punch the jump drive on the PC.

Seen this proposed in a few threads the padt few months (and likely more before that).

My ideal setup would be to have the two menus projected on two seperate tablets mounted on either side of my chair :)

Not just hotkeys to control the menus, butthe actual menus on them, like replicating the ingame cockpit in real life.
Of course, with added functions for gal map and markets!

Imagine having the map on one tablet, the market/newsfeed on the other and still the normal cockpit windows on screen!

iOS / Android App - Electronic Notebook "Dangerous's Wingman" anyone?

Hello to all. I've been away from the beta for some time. After a major catastrophic situation on my home computer, I stopped playing beta 2. Call me crazy but, I've bought a computer from the fruit company, to play games on tv, on the living room. I've installed Beta 3 on the Windows 8.1 partition.

I don't know the current status on development but, I wanted to know:

*Is there some Application for tablets, to use as a notebook / logbook from Frontier Development or a beta tester? I'm not talking about some online app; one to install and save status locally.
*I'm using a gamepad to play. Is it planned to add force feedback for joysticks / gamepads? I'm also testing Project Cars. The feedback on the gamepad is working and it is great for immersion.

Regards

nothing official yet but its been hinted that a compainion app is being worked on.

I use roccat powergrid (link) along with my HOTAS controls and with android 4.4.X google now can be activated anytime to make a note.

Eg OK google, make note - Biowaste 50 cr at Lave.

Most of the time is messes up the station/system name but its good enough for a reminder as you can usually remember or have it jog your memory to where you actually meant.

Hello to all. Is there any news about the application for mobile phone / tablet?
I'm following the newsletters but, there isn't any reference to the status of it.
I would like to know what we could do with it and planed, release date.
ED is getting better and better. [3.9] is a very polished release. I've great hopes about the "friendly" app...

Regards

Galcop news or whatever it is would be great on an App. Lets face it we are all going to beplaying the same game with the same events. If something big happens it would be great to know.

No idea what you downloaded but I doubt it was the official app Braben was talking about.

Look like I might have downloaded something else. I downloaded miniguide.jpg Still a very useful thing all the same.

Android companion app??

Does anyone have any idea when the promised android app is going to be released. The iOS app has been out a while now and with only 2 days left before release I was hoping it would be in our hands by now. I know the devs are busy making final changes but we were told the android app would be released soon after the iOS. This is not a big criticism of FD, just looking for an accurate timescale.
