The bizarre thing is it wasn't a negative thread to start with.
It was a kind of hopes and fears thread but in typical internet style all hell broke lose because I dared question the "Purity" of FD.

If you actually read it and understood it you would see my concerns were about can the game really survive without micro transactions or subs?

So you read my original post on this thread. Decided you could not answer any of it. Decided I was attacking the game. And after all that decided you had to then try and attack me.

I read it, and for me it still didn't make sense. Your first post that I linked is older then this. Which means you already requested a refund before you became worried about p2w. If not, you omitted that from your original post. Also in your first post you seemed a lot more worried about the fact that you couldn't control the ship, still no mention of p2w. Actually I read that whole thread, you never answered again, aside from once stating you finally figured out you have to map controls to make the ship move.

This post is only a complaint about having pay to win mechanics implented, and you claim that you asked people in the know, who are not us forum posters, because apparently we are all just sheep who can't inform ourselves. Interestingly judging from the answers here, not even the alpha backers seem to be as knowledgable as you.

Whatever, if you're vision becomes reality, who the hell cares. This game cannot be p2w, because there's nothing to win. You cannot win in Elite.

No, you didn't "dare" question purity of FD. FD is company, we all know it, and MT question is not finalized yet, although I expect it to happen soon. However, you jumped to conclusions with very little research or facts to support you. It's ok asking for refund, and have doubts. I understand that. However it's not ok then go on claiming lot of things without any proof. It was bound to attract reaction like this, no matter how polite we all want to be.

How is what you just quoted from 100% wrong then? I said you claimed you asked people in the know. That's exactly what's written here. As for the other part, that alpha backers seem to know less, do I really have to start quoting everyone who said in this thread that it's a possibility, not a certainty that cash will be sold?

Sensible response however for my part I am going to duck out as when users start to accuse 10 year olds of being credit card thieves I think it has then crossed a couple of legal boundaries.

The server usage should be quite light, and should be sustained by revenue from the ability to buy game money with real money via in-game transactions.

True, and some people shouldn't forget this

However, FD now seems to be more interested to follow community regarding this. That's why they did DDF discussion and PBF surveys. They have enough information to make decisions, so I expect them to lay out plans soon enough, and explained that to OP.
