ED is almost unplayable right now. PLEASE upgrade the server hamsters.

What’s wrong with them? I’ve not had any issues with them in normal space for ages.
There’s an issue where the sever lag causes limpets to collect something, fly back to your ship, and then just hang there outside your cargo scoop. After a bit of time they’ll finally collect the item, but that amount of time varies with how laggy the server is being.

I’m assuming it’s because you’ve got your cargo hold open? You know you can still use your weapons with it open right? I often do whole CZs with collectors out to collect mats from destroyed ships
That’s not the issue. The Powerplay assignments I had this week were to go to a specific rival faction system and salvage cargo, and another to an undermining system to pick up escape pods / black boxes.

In both cases, when dropping out at a Power Wreckage site, there may be one or more NPCs already present, or ones will drop in shortly after you arrive. These NPCs will always be Clean. They’ll always scan you, and will always attack you, but they never lose their Clean status. So if you fight back, you get a bounty for assaulting them. If you destroy them, you get a bounty for murder.

So you have to try to drop in, scoop up what you can, and make a run for it. But if your limpets are lagging out, that doesn’t work and the whole process becomes an incredibly frustrating waste of time.
 
One thing I have noticed is if the weather is bad outside the Internet is sporadic and patchy for uploading and downloading, this isn't fdevs fault but for an always on game has an impact
 
I hate to say it but the Hyperspace jumps and supercruise transitions have been taking between 3 and 4 times longer than usual of late.

It's not getting unplayable yet, but it is getting frustrating.
Yea, quite frustrating...always seem to hit me more when I'm doing a 5k ly round trip. Boooooooo.
Thankfully the really annoying bugs from my first post have mostly cleared up.
The crashing galaxy map, after you try to view two systems, and the lost plotted route after a jump is the most annoying for me now,
 
Well, today I got on 30 min. ago and I got disconn'd after two jumps, restarted, two jumps disconn'd, and one more time with the same.
I've been having better luck.

I've been getting orange sidewinder, black adder, etc in addition to the regular mauve adders. I usually find something is wrong when I can't scoop (get one item then the rest bounce off despite everything lined up good). Then get disconnected right after. Saw my NAT is still in place and my IP from ISP hasn't changed.
 
For what it's worth (and forum moderation rules prevent me from saying precisely how much I think that is) there's an issue on the issue tracker that people can contribute to if they're experiencing long hyperspace jump tunnels.

Just to note. Normal Hedgehogs run faster and for longer in wheels than hamsters! Can we upgrade all the server hamsters to Hedgehogs please? (and if we find a sonic one, mores the better!)

I don't think there is a forum rule that forbids you from saying the issue tracker is a worthless popularity contest and unless an issue gains traction real issues could be ignored due to not getting enough "votes", that by splitting "issues" and "tickets" it causes extra confusion among players looking for help, and was likely done as a cost cutting measure rather than any serious attempt to improve how bugs are reported and handled.

The current hamsters aren't doing that badly at the moment. It used to be every single jump was 2 mins, now I'm seeing maybe 1 in 3 being a little longer. I suspect that's due to server load not being as much as it was over christmas and the MkV release. Still needs looking into imo.

New bug I noticed last night: Was on a planets surface that my FC was orbiting. Targeted my FC, left the planet and went to SC and ED randomly decided to change my target to someone elses FC...seen this a few times now. I suspect it could be related to the plotted route being forgotten after a jump and you need to reselect your route from the galaxy map, which sometimes can be a pain and time consuming if it happens a few times in a 20+ jump route.
 
Finally got hit by the galmap bug. For some reason while everyone was saying their filters weren't sticking my settings stayed the same as I'd left them, rather than jinx it I stayed quiet. Today I log in and all my settings are gone and I can no longer turn off the jump lines. Even the bugs are RNG in this game. 😂
