ED not detecting CV1

Back from my vacation, updated ED, the game no longer recognises my CV1. Elite now launches on my main screen, the option to change to HMD seems to have vanished. Any ideas? Have always ran ED through the standalone launcher.

There's a patch coming out which resolves issues with VR. I hope it helps.

Thanks mate, I'll see if it fixes the problem. Not getting my hopes up, am thinking more people would have reported a major issue like this. Fairly convinced the problem is my end.

Is there no way to force ED to select the HMD? there used to be a headphones option that allowed you to select the HMD

Hmmmm, this is what happens when I am away from Elite for a couple of months! Found the HMD option, everything is working :) Boy have I missed this, can't understand how anyone can use a regular screen.

Cheers

Only had my CV1 for a month or so. can't imagine ever playing the game in 2D ever again!! everything seems just so... flat!

Hey there Driver. You probably know this but are you seeing the CV1 in oculus home. I didn't get any prob with my cv1 after downloading the ed update.
Could be an oculus glitch rather than ed.

edit. scratch that - just read your reply

I found that I had this issue after I let GeForce Experience update the settings (after a driver update). Not sure why, but now Elite: Dangerous is not shown in the list of games (there was another update recently).

It could well be a mixture of the two. I had the slightest wobble when I started playing after the update. The headset wasn't working, but my fix was fairly trivial. The VR option was still there in the menu so all I had to was switch the option off then back on again.
