With David Brabens new Message its clear thad ED on Consoles just died. I hope we will be able to transfer our progress and ARX to PC for those who want to do so.

Yeah we just got totally screwed over with no option to transfer to PC.
I’ve literally spent hundreds of pounds and played hundreds of hours on this game just to have it completely abandoned after a year of patiently waiting for Odyssey.

Probably won’t be coming back here again either as I’m certainly not going to buy a gaming PC and replay/repurchase everything from the last 4 years.

I guess that’s the end of my ED journey...

It's the same galaxy; the same data on the same servers, there's no reason why not.

(Other than someone at Frontier just deciding not, which is the most likely outcome.)

I feel sorry for the 3000+ hours and the Frontier Points / Arx i invested in my XB account.
Sure, i'm well aware it's not going anywhere... but that's kinda the point, isn't it?

They said they dont have plans for a PS5/XB Series version.
Sure, that might change, let's say next year, but for the moment... no plans

They can definitively transfer the accounts from console to PC with all the unlocks, ships, mats etc... probably it will take some time, but at least a % of the players will not lose what they've achieved, built and invested in the game. I have also a PC account, may be a merge of the two is possible who knows... no reason to keep two at this point.

Actually, i'd say is quite nice to have 2 accounts. The option to be active in different parts of the galaxy it's quite nice

Well that’s it no more Elite, not spending any more money or time on this, feel very let down by Frontier on this news.

Same here, I have already a PC account and hope for a merger.
I will just missing the relax way to play ED from couch in 4k on my OLED TV. It looks fantastic on series x.

We've waited a year for news of Odyssey on console and now we have it. It's not the news we wanted but there it is. All we have to do now is wait another year for info about transferring accounts

Now, considering i'm playing only Elite on my XB1s, should i keep watching the stores, maybe maybe i get an XB Series X at store price? From what i heard, Horizons plays really good on XB Series and i was looking forward to it...

Honestly if you can get one I'd say go for it, it's a vast improvement over the XB1
