ED PC, still unable to set up key bindings for Odyssey. Unable to save changes.

Just got a new Virpil set up for ED. Watched the YouTube videos for saving and modifying key bindings, but have not been able to make it work. Is there any chance a software update will resolve this issue?

I’m getting very frustrated and thinking about giving up on ED. I don’t want to play on Horizons any more for obvious reasons.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Unlikely, since it's working for pretty much everyone else.

Instead of YT videos, did you read (and follow!) the sticky post at the top of this forum? Otherwise - what exactly are you trying to do, what would you expect as the outcome and what is the actual outcome?

is a bit information free if I don't know what "it" is ;) - there's proabably more than one YT video out there, and I rarely spend the time watching even one of them, so I have no idea what you've been trying (or why you would need a video to change ED's bindings in the first place...).

If you're going to respond with some details - one of the first questions would be which and how many binding files are hanging out in your "Bindings" folder. If you read Strontium Dog's writeup, you'll know why this is important :)

is a bit information free if I don't know what "it" is ;) - there's proabably more than one YT video out there, and I rarely spend the time watching even one of them, so I have no idea what you've been trying (or why you would need a video to change ED's bindings in the first place...).

Bear in mind that most YT videos offering help with ED are VERY outdated. I run into this issue all the time. This forum is the best place I've found for up-to-date information.

And yet I've never lost my binds with custom. There was one upgrade where I'm sure the beta binds got preserved instead of upgrading the live binds, and it effectively went backwards losing a couple of changes; that is the only issue I've ever had with custom binds.

I renamed my binds to my CMDR name.

Never have an issue unless one of my usb devices gets disconnected.

If it happens I just read the error log and find the culprit.

Been a few years...
