startlingly cognisant statement, i am impressed with your candor and your witTest 123
I think the main reason many have quit Elite is precisely because it IS done, and they have shown they aren't adding any of the things that many players want. Star Citizen is buggy, but it is promising. And shockingly fun even in its current state. Odyssey was the final nail in the coffin for me with Elite, FDev just don't know how to make a combined FPS / space ship game, at least not anywhere close to what I (and evidently many others) are looking for.Players quit playing ED to play SC due to ED being a buggy poor performing mess lacking in gameplay.
Its almost like a comedy script that writes itself.
I hope they all buy an Idris.

You're deliberately missing the point again...that said, I'm off back to our other house, this 'house in the country' section of the forum is a bit tame for my likingBut ED isn't done. There is plenty to criticize FD about, and of course, if things are not being implemented in a way you enjoy, that's fair enough. And maybe you find stuff in SC to enjoy, again, fair enough.
But that wasn't my point. My point was specifically about those who are quitting ED because of bugs and performance... unless you want to claim SC is a stable experience with good performance?

OKAhem, i made a point without quoting anyone. Viking made a different point quoting mine, which wasn't my point. I noted that it wasn't my point. You say i'm missing the point.
No, i made a point, they made a different point in relation to my point. Both points might be valid points of view, but they are not connected.

Rumour says a lot of things. What isn't rumour is that some folk trying out Star Citizen enjoy the experience...totally irrelevant of how you may continue to belittle that fact based on your personal tastes.Rumour has it that some are leaving ED because it has no VR for feet. Makes perfect sense to migrate to SC because of this.
Guess it's high time for David Braben to learn from Chris Roberts how to make ... promises!![]()
ED is done in so far as every single expansion going away from what I was hoping they would do. Every expansion moving in the direction of more gear grind, less skill, larger performance gap between those who have and those who haven't spent hours grinding. So I suppose you could say I am done with Elite. I do think FDev are done with it too though, can't imagine them releasing any more expansions after messing up Odyssey so badly. Then again, No Man's Sky made a pretty epic comeback so who knows. But ED isn't done.
