ed tracker mounting

I've got my ED Tracker on my headset. If you are not using a headset, the only things I can think of are:
- Headband (a la 80's tennis player)
- Hairband (a la David Beckham)
- Glasses (would probably need to have a headband to hold them on, as the cable would pull them off)
- Hat (as you suggested)
Personally, given the tug of the cable, I think the cap or sports headband would be the best.

...one of those Joby Grip Tight things (that sounds wrong).
Might feel like a bit of a berk wearing it..dunno really; only other option I could think off.

This is what i was thinking, quite like the headtorch idea though.
If you get the one with a magnetometer (I did) - you can't mount it on it's side so a head-band can't be used. They did say that they would look into modifying the software to allow for side-mounting but I have not heard from them again. I don't like wearing a headset but if I want to use my ED Tracker I have to - these days I don't bother so it was a waste of money. So if you want to mount it on it's side - don't buy the magnetometer version.

Gone for the pro, dont know if it has a magnetometer or not, just went to check the website but it appears to be down at the moment.
I used a plastic hairband and mounted the hardware in a small plastic box I got from an electronics store mounted to the top of the band with a pair of small bolts. The hard part was finding a simple black plastic one that did have sparkles all over it (trying to preserve as much dignity as I can), was big enough to fit on my big head without feeling like I'd stuck it in a vice, and was wide enough to not snap first time it was put on from having holes drilled in it.
[edit] Using the headband also let me use some cable ties to fix the cable to one side of the band (through some conveniently drilled holes) as stress relief so it couldn't get pulled out of the USB socket accidentally with frantic gaming. Speaking of which, consider getting a long (I got a 5' long one), flat USB cable so you've got plenty of reach and don't have your head tied to your PC, and so it'll lie against the *whatever you mount it on* better.
A more "manly" solution might be to put it on the bill of a baseball cap, though that's more likely to move around or be put on in a different orientation requiring more frequent calibrations.

Yes, it does.
I used to use an old pair of Walkman headphones with the cables cut off and a track clip attached to the top of the band, it was lightweight and speaker sounds weren't affected much at all (you still looked like a prize banana wearing it but that goes for pretty much all head tracking gear really)
