Was wondering where folks were seeing that, then realized it's apparently in the Station Menu ? (far away from any place to dock, so I couldn't check)

If so, that Button really should go, that's super cheap and doesn't belong there.
Menu should be the only place that offers it so prominently - and for all I care they can have big ads (similar to the Launcher) there showcasing the newest Cosmetics.
(I was totally okay with the links in Outfitting, which made sense due to preview for Paints)

The main menu = fine
Outfitting = fine
Livery = fine
Holo-me = fine
Station Menu in game? = that's a big fat no from me

I really don't care. I was never immersed at the login screen anyway.

There are so many gamey things that could brake the immersion already in place, I cant believe the tiny shop icon causes the disruption in the force.

I think it depends where it appears in game.

Personally, to try and keep it in line with game mechanics, I would have opted for the outfitting screen, seems to be a logical place for modifying your ship.

Get new parts and a paint job, if you're into this kind of thing.

Yeah, I wouldn't put it in there. It belongs in the livery and Holo-me section (sorry too far away from a station to have seen that), but I can live with it.

But it wouldn't kill my immersion though, having a store in station services that sells jackets and paint jobs for my in-game character and ships is no big deal for me. I just don't like it in the blue, or have different colours for each of the sections.

To be honest, I don't mind the location. The store allows purchases relating to Holo-Me and Livery, so it makes sense to shove it in-between the two. The blue is just too in your face though. Although it does make me question why we need a separate store when all the available options are displayed in the customisation menus anyway. Why not just buy it right there and then?

[DISCLAIMER] I haven't actually played since the update dropped so I'm not sure how the Livery and Holo-Me menus have changed.

Why should a station not have a shop and display it prominently? There is also a commodity market. The shop is for the ship and the pilot. But the shop should have the same colour as the other symbols. My opinion.

Part of why I like ED is that it has a soft UI which doesn't swamp my sensitive eyes with blue that I can't read.

I wasn't defending Frontier, I was voicing my own personal opinion.

I have reread the original post which I was replying to and its not well written and can easily be misunderstood, which is what happened. If it said station services, I wouldn't have misunderstood. I wouldn't have even commented because I haven't seen it.

They are getting the arx in now ahead of next year’s “exciting” update which will obviously see loads of FD store cosmetics introduced. Probably the only reason FD would do ‘legs’.
