Using Windows 10 Pro, EDDI(2?) crashes everytime I request docking permissions (exact at the moment you get the pad number announced). Is there a way to fix that issue?

Can you send me a copy of yoru %APPDATA%\EDDI\eddi.log file so that I can take a look at this issue? Thanks.

Additionally I would love to use other TTP voices. Did you already figure out how to implement new ones? Imagine using the "official" Elite AI voice.

EDDI uses Windows text-to-speech voices so you can use those. If you're after one like the Elite ship voice then Ivona's Emma sound pretty close to me.

Does the above allow the Send to "whatever" to be copied to clipboard , apparently I need a Boolean somewhere "set the boolean value "EDDI use clipboard" yet no-idea where

You can set this anywhere, but best places would either be in your own profile startup command if you have one or in a voice/key command if not. The latter would allow toggling between using the clipboard and direct display.

I'm seeing some odd star scan entries, which are causing problems. I've tweaked the coe to handle them so this might fix your problem.

Yes i shouldn't do that. Sometimes alleigance is not set and other times it comes back as "None" and I wasn't handling both situations. I've updated the script so that it should handle this better in 2.0.5

Pretty much every system once outside the bubble :)

I also noticed that EDDI like to report my ship type rather than ship name..."Your Asp Explorer has..." as opposed to "Scarlet Buckeye has..." It is set up correctly in the config, and responds correctly when I hit the test button there.

I just checked this and ShipName() appears to be working correctly, so it's possible that the script has the wrong command in it. Which particular command was giving you the ship rather than it's name?

Ok...about TTS voices in Windows 10...

Under the speech settings from control panel, the TTS voices are listed as, for example, Microsoft Hazel Desktop. While under the language options from the languages settings, the ones there are listed as, for example, Microsoft Catherine Mobile. I have found no way to use the mobile voices in my desktop environment. EDDI draws from the TTS list in the desktop, so is there any way to get the mobile voices accessible to the desktop, and by extension, EDDI?

When I would change state such as jumping to another system, or dropping to normal space/going into supercruise.

Could you send me a screenshot of your Shipyard tab in the UI and your %APPDATA%\EDDI\eddi.log for me to take a look at? Thanks.

Not sure what's going on there, although there have been some issues around missing modules in EDDI that were causing more problems than they should. Are you in a beluga, or do you have any new modules (cabins or fighter hangars) equipped? If so please could you try either unequipping them or switching to a ship without them to see if it works?

If it doesn't work even when you're in a ship without new modules please could you semd me a copy of your %APPDATA%\EDDI\eddi.log for me to take a look at? Otherwise, the soon-to-be-released EDDI 2.0.5 should have all of the required modules in it to avoid this (plus better avoidance of issues for future new modules).

Solved.
I think it's my fault, as I was playing with my home PC remotely from my office, so it seems VoiceAttack needed Administrator privileges to work properly.
VA is still crashing after opening coriolis on the browser, but I can see my ship there now. I'll check it again when at home.

Let's wait for the new version!

Thanks!

as i cant search with the search function i will report a problem here that i have not found using google directed at this site.

when i start elite and voice attack or EDDI solo, the station information script does not update and keeps the call to show a station in eddb as "not set".
I made a command in voice attack to show the station details and all those details are not set.
jgm is this known to you and if so how do i fix it or did you disable it?

I love EDDI! Can't play the game without it but since the last version "AStra" keep calling my Ship "your Python" instead my ship name which is correctly set on the app, it use to call it by the name not anymore! Any fix for this? Also can EDDI remind me to re stock on limpets when i dock?

It's great! :D

I dont have voice attack and want to use microsoft tts voices... But it doesnt work with microsoft voice other than default ones? (my default tts are in italian, so I have to install these to get a decent pronounce in eng)

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27224 correctly installed and showed up in control panel as per this guide:

!!!WARNING!!!
This involves manual edits to your registry. If you mess it up, don't blame me. Do at your own risk.
Step 1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install the Speech Platform v11
a) go here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27225
b) click "Download"
c) select the "x64_SpeechPlatformRuntime\SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi"
d) run the installer (duh :p)
Step 2: --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Get the alternate voices
a) go here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27224
b) click "Download"
c) select the voice files you want. They are the ones that have "TTS" in the file name.
There are 6 English (all female). I have not listened to the other languages, so I dont know how they sound. GB_Hazel and US_ZiraPro are IMO the better sounding voices.
MSSpeech_TTS_en-CA_Heather
MSSpeech_TTS_en-GB_Hazel
MSSpeech_TTS_en-IN_Heera
MSSpeech_TTS_en-US_Helen
MSSpeech_TTS_en-US_ZiraPro
MSSpeech_TTS_en-AU_Hayley

d) run the installers for each (duh :p)
Step 3: --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extract the registry tokens
a) Open Regedit
b) Under - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Speech Server\v11.0\Voices - right click the "Tokens" folder and export. Save this file to your desktop as voices1.reg so it will be easy to find later.
b) Under - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Speech Server\v11.0\Voices - right click "Tokens" and again export it, again to the desktop. Call it voices2.reg.
Step 4: --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit the voices1/2 files
a) open Voices1.reg in Notepad.
b) press "cntrl + H"
c) enter \Speech Server\v11.0\ into the "Find What" field
d) enter \Speech\ into the "Replace With" field
e) click "Replace All"
f) Save File
g) Repeat a-f with the Voices2.reg file
Step 5: --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Merge the new Registry files into your registry
a) double click to "run" both Voices1.reg and Voices2.reg
b) Click "Yes" when it prompts
You should now have access to the new voices in Voice Attack, and in the Windows TTS options menu.
This process may also work with other voice packs.

So they work in control panel, eddi go crazy at 100% cpu and no sound :)

I have spanish op system, what I did was select another voice not the windows default, the first woman sounds ok in english

yes zira is decent but there are so many others so much better

A number of voices are not supportable in EDDI due to their lack of phonetic speech or the fact that some langauges are 64-bit only and EDDI runs in 32-bit mode.

I've just release EDDI 2.0.5. Mainly bugfixes again:

  • Added fuel used and fuel remaining to JumpedEvent
  • Handle missing data in body scans
  • Fix incorrect name of key in ShipyardNew
  • Update text on speech responder tab to be more informative about copying personalities
  • Fix oddity in jumping script where EDDI thought that 'None' was a real allegiance

I've got the same problem as you do (I think, are you using win-7 64-bit?).

Someone here told me to go to this page https://social.technet.microsoft.co...ows-7-and-set-as-default?forum=w7itproinstall

Which has the same steps as you did, but towards the end someone adds that you should copy the Lex keys for Anna (or whatever the default voice is called) to the new ones. I'm not sure how to do it, but I tried and it didn't seem to work. Anyway, if you have any idea how to copy the lex keys - that might help, and be sure to let me know.
