It's taking a bit longer to get this out than I expected. I've been using the patched version myself for a couple of hours now, and it works a treat.

I thought I'd share the one needed file with you guys, so you can use EDDI while a fix and a new release is created. I've shared it at

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kvevq3u9...SbJOuQba?dl=0&preview=EDDI_commanders_fix.zip

You need to drop the .dll in that zip into your EDDI -folder as described in the readme.

Perfect solution, EDDI's back! Thank you!

Thanks dude. boy I missed this in the day or so it wasn't working

Not sure what's wrong with mine. Did a fresh install of EDDI 2.2.2 and when I launch it from desktop, nothing happens.

EDIT: Sorted. It decided to work after the 3rd install attempt. Weird.

For the moment do this:

I'm not sure why this is happening - some service that EDDI connects to that's either gone down or it's changed what it gives out? I'm experiencing the same, so I'll have a look.

I think it's a change in the format of the event in the journal files. EDDiscovery and Captain's Log threads have had similar discussions.

The announcements etc. are working for me if I have Voice Attack running.
I think at one point I had VA running and the EDDI interface and I was getting the announcements twice simultaneously.

2.2.2 Bug??

The companion app is not working due to a null reference in the CallSite.Target procedure.
It's a C# runtime exception.

I expected not to have the "jump to system" announcements because I know from other threads that FD changed the format of that log entry. I'm also getting a lot of spurious "fuel scooping complete" announcements, is anyone else?

The journal now logs fuel every 5 Tonnes, you can edit your Ship Refuelled event in EDDI with such values :
Code:
{if event.source = "Market" || (event.source = "Scoop" && floor(event.amount) != 5)
    {ShipName()} refuelled.
}

Apologies for the delay, but I've just release EDDI 2.2.3. This contains a number of fixes for issues with Elite 2.3, most notably an issue that was causing EDDI to crash.

Please note that if you are experiencing a crash with EDDI starts then you must remove the file %APPDATA\EDDI\credentials.json for EDDI to start and for you to upgrade. If you do this then you will need to reauthenticate the companion app after upgrading. Alternatively you can download and apply the upgrade directly from https://www.mcdee.net/elite/EDDI.exe.

The full changelog is as follows:

  • Fix issue where undocumented change in Frontier API would cause EDDI to crash
  • Update netlog monitor to handle new log format
  • Add ship definition for Dolphin
  • Add module definitions for Dolphin bulkheads

I really and honestly mean, that thank you for the quick fix. Things to be done need time. Waiting for a well working fix needs patience. [yesnod]

Excellent support jgm, thank you very much for your time and trouble of fixing this so quickly.

Your EDDI programme is an indispensable part of my Elite Dangerous gaming ;)

Congrats and thanks for the fast turnaround. It's always annoying when you get undocumented changes upstream.

I noticed today that "Hyades" needs a phonetic pronunciation, thought I should mention it.
