Release EDDiscovery 19.X is out - ED Canonn Plugin is available, Python support, Latest data updates, new colonsation panel and engineering ship views

Sometimes scans don't get send to EGO and EDDN automatically, but they do work when done manually.

When manually syncing with EDDN these errors show up (10 in total):

Sometimes scans don't get send to EGO and EDDN automatically, but they do work when done manually.

The next version should fix this - your original errors were caused by EDSM erroring out while fetching the events that should not be sent, and the program therefore was not reaching the point where it sent the events to EDDN or EGO.

The missing system name looks like the EDDSystem.sqlite DB is corrupt.

Anthor might be able to tell us what is going on here. It could well be that the cause of this is the same as the cause of the empty system name in the EDDN event.

Hi there,
So I just docked at Colonia and after a short celebration with the crew, I checked in with EDSM as it sent me a badge, but I note all the last weeks scans on EDSM just shows black symbol with question mark in it and no system data ?
( from about 4th April till now )
Is this a related or similar thang ? or have I changed something in the most awesome EDDiscovery unwittingly during my space madness ..
Previous scans and previously discovered scans as I got close to Colonia appear to be recorded correctly.. with system details, and I haven't changed anything with my scanning routine so I'm not sure what is going on..
The only thing I checked last night was that I had verbose on, and I do, so that hasn't changed...

Cheers,
al.

EDSM was giving Bad Gateway errors, which resulted in EDDiscovery not sending scans to EDDN or EGO. You will want to run "Send Unsynced EDDN events" and "Send Unsynced EGO events" from the Admin menu, and click the EDDN button in the main toolbar to send the unsent scans to EDSM.

Is it possible to toggle on/off the visited systems in the 3D map? I'm heading back around the Galaxy to head to a few smaller regions that I had missed in the past and would like to see just those in the 3d map quickly, but it's kind of hard seeing the smaller regions with the all the discovered systems...

It is - second button in the second group of tool bar buttons has a 'Show All Stars' option under it that toggles whether other people's from EDSM show up.

(You can turn off your own with the options in the menu before that one or change how they show up)

Worked a treat. Thanks again. o>

Ok thanks, I'll will check into this then...

Been experimenting with EDDiscovery and I think I have found a bug in the ledger feature.

When I turn in stuff to the Search and Rescue agent, in the history tab I see the awarding of credits for let's say turning in occupied escape pods, but the credit balance never updates. Looking in the ledger for that time slot I see the NPC wage deduction but no corresponding payment from the S&R agent and from that point my credit balance is out of sync with the games until I close EDDiscover and reopen it at some point later and then I get a "Cash Total differs, adjustment" entry to bring me into sync with the game's credit balance.

or I could just be mis-understanding how that is supposed to work.

SearchAndRescue isn't being treated as a ledger event. We need to have it implement the ILedgerJournalEvent interface.

I notice that in the materials list, there are multiple entries for some material types - presumably some difference in how they were presented in journal entries? Obviously only one for each type shows the actual number held but it would be nice to completely remove the duplicates. I know one can tick the "Remove zero items" box but that just removes them from display whilst also hiding any of the non-duplicate materials that are still at a zero count.

So is there a way to remove these superfluous entries?

Several people have reported it but it's far from universal - as soon as it happens to a dev we'll probably kick ourselves at how obvious it should've been all along :D

At least it doesn't seem to be something I have mucked up then. ;)

It is not a big deal and doesn't detract from the usefulness of this amazing app - probably the best thing since sliced bees' knees. :)

Is this the proper thread to submit a feature request? Is it possible to have EDDiscovery report (and store) the players standing with factions the player has encountered? I can't seem to find any tool that does that.

If you look at the "Reputation" journal (you open a new Journal tab/panel and use the Event Filter to see only those) and it will give you your reputation with the major factions, but the minor ones aren't reported in the journals so we don't have access to that information currently.

I'm fairly new to EDDiscovery. I'm having issues with the Free Voice Controls add-on.

It seems to be recognizing my words and even shows in the log window the correct phrase I say, except it says failed. For example, if I say 'toggle landing gear' the log will say failed blah blah toggle landing gear.(I'm at work, so I can't see what the exact terminology is).

I have windows voice recognition trained pretty well, so I don't think that would be the cause, especially since the log shows the correct words I say, but also says failed.

Any help would be great since I really prefer this program but also like voice commands. EDDiscovery and Voice Attack together just makes too many voices talking back while I fly.

Thanks in advance and great product.
