I am running EDDiscovery with Elite Dangerous on Windows PC. I installed the VoicePack (version 12.3.3), and am trying to figure out if I can turn the scan speech off for FSS system scans, but still have it on for DSS probe scans. When it runs for FSS scans too, a quick system scan of a couple dozen ice planets can lock VoicePack into meaningless announcements for multiple systems.
Going into the AddOn edit function for VoicePack, the planet information speech in the Exploration section seems to trigger on the "Scan" journal entry event, so can only be turned off or on for all FSS and DSS scans. So I am trying to edit the "Scan" program that runs to make it trigger only for DSS scans.
Is this possible? It appears that the "Scantype" field does not distinguish between FSS and DSS scans, they both come up as "Detailed." There is a SAAScanComplete, but that appears to be a separate journal entry giving # of probes, etc., so adding that as a parameter to limit the "Scan" speech action does not seem to work. Is there any way to distinguish between FSS and DSS scans to trigger VoicePack? I like having the detailed information read out when I care enough about a planet to map it with a DSS probe, but I can't conscience leaving it on for all FSS scans.
Thanks for any advice.
