edmcoverlay2 is a library for EDMC plugins, allowing them to display overlays on top of the game. There's an existing plugin to do this – the original EDMC Overlay – but EDMC Overlay only runs on Windows. edmcoverlay2 works on Linux instead.
edmcoverlay2 is compatible with EDMC Overlay's API, so existing EDMC plugins that use EDMC Overlay (such as EDR) should just work. If you encounter plugins that work on EDMC Overlay but break with edmcoverlay2, I'd appreciate a bug report!
