Abandoned EDPathFinder - planetary base data point scanning helper tool.

This is a great tool, thank you!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but would it be possible to filter by settlement type (refinery, military, scientific) so only these settlements are included in search results??

This is certainly possible. I didn't include it because it didn't seem like something that's significantly valuable for filtering.

The 1.1.2 release is up. Improved image viewer and filtering with distance from entry (i.e max lightseconds). The data for the distances is limited but I have what's available, which is about 25% of all planets.

For some reason my Norton is flagging this exe as having a trojan embedded and keeps quarantining it - have you heard this report?

EDPathFinder Trojan Alert.PNG

Granted, it's a heuristic-generated detection (which is a common mis-diagnosis), but I thought you should know. Perhaps it can be addressed with Norton directly? Just a thought.

Information update: Henning Prospect (Ascella system, Planet 9 B) is Medium sized (not small), has six Data Access Points (not three), and doesn't have the right facility map tagged in the app.

NeoTron, thank you very much for making this tool it really is excellent.

I noticed when I used to plot my own routes that the drop rate is relatively accurate.

Since the data on DJA's spreadsheet is there, I hope it wouldn't be too hard to do "something" with it (sorry I have no programming experience so this could be tricky for all I know!). Just thinking some sort of additional sort/filter for each data...e.g. Choosing No Threat, Medium, And some sort of Cracked Industrial Firmware priority? button?. End result is that it would return only M3M Scientific bases (which are the ones with the highest chance of CIF with zero threat).

I have not. Can you report the file to them for investigation?

The drop rate data is a number, but when I first wrote it, it wasn't. I'm considering the options of adding some kind of control to limit to different level of drop rates (right now I just do if dropnumber > 0.0). That should work to do what you want here.

"Skip settlements recently scanned by.." does not work, it simply doesn't have any item in dropdown. Did I do something wrong?

Also it would be good to remember "Route viewer" window size and position...

I'm not sure that I understand your threat level filtering. Isn't it a simple matter of low, medium and high? Why have you combined size with it? For example, all I want to see are L1M's. You have filtering for size so I can select Large, but the threat level filtering should simply be Medium shouldn't it? But your tip says "most medium sized high security bases" for example. What if I want large size medium security such as L1M?

Also, I assume this is a simple straight line route? Would it be silly to add an option for a circuit? I.e. ending up back at the starting point?

This is a great program which I have installed on my PC before I can even play Elite Dangerous on the PS4! Hope its still being maintained along with the data.

Thanks!

for me my name is showing, but nevertheless the "Skip recently scanned" feature doesn't work anymore.
I think the problem is changed journal entries with the last major patch and EDPathfinder isn't updated yet.

Hey NeoTron, please keep up the good work!!
