Discussion EDRefCard v1.4+ - new hosting, new maintainers (the follow-on to "EDRefCard - makes a printable reference card of your controller bindings")

Nice to see some WinWing being supported now. Was a pleasant surprise seeing my throttle show up.

Would like to put in a request for the WinWing Orion 2 stick base with the F16 joystick grip and it's EX extension kit, if possible.

Link to product page, and image of it. And attached a screenshot from the software

Thank you. If there is anything we can assist with please advise

The stick has a Left / Right switch underneath the base. Pinky switch, alternate thumb rest, and wrist rest can be swapped to complete right-left change
Sol-R 1 supplied set to right
Sol-R 2 supplied with one set to right and one set to left

If you're talking about STECS... That's been discussed previously in this thread.

The specific Space version of the STECS, not the regular split, flight version, yes.

OK thank you for letting me know it has been discussed previously.

Trying to print my new HOTAS Configuration off, recognises the VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Right ok
However fails to recognise the STECS Mini Plus MK 2

You have a device that is not supported at this time. Please report details of your device by following the link at the bottom of this page supplying the reference "rtpjoi" and we will attempt to add support for it.

Many thanks in advance for rectifying the situation and supporting the STECS Mini plus MK2

I have downloaded a binds profile from edrefcard. It sits in my downloads folder, now how do I replace the custom binds file in the game folder

Copy it to your binds folder, rename it to whatever you wish it to be known as e.g. edref then update the defaults (there is another file in the binds folder with 4 lines, 1 for each of general / ship / srv / foot)

Try not to use an existing filename such as custom otherwise your binds will be overwritten on every update?

There's been a few requests for the STECS to be supported.

I've evaluated it and it can be done but is a lot of effort (six different devices to map and build templates for). The templates supplied by VKB ustilise a different button naming convention to that which Elite binds files use. It will require help from people who own the device to provide a mapping of some kind (or donate me the device for a while <grin> so I can figure it out).

As it stands right now, please don't expect STECS support any time soon as I have limited spare time available outside of real-life. If anyone wants to help, please reach out and I can let you know what's needed.

I would also like to request support for the WinWing Orion 2 stick base with the F16 joystick with EX. Referenced earlier by Runibl
Unknown controller reference: dslrop

Thank You

I'm getting the "unknown controller detected" message when trying to print my bindings yet i'm using a standard xbox controller and not only that but it used to work (with the same controller) so not sure why it's telling me it's an unsupported controller now. What can I do?

What code were you quoted?

No code that I can see... just a message saying Unknown Controller Detected and You have a device that is not supported at this time. Please report details of your device by following the link at the bottom of this page supplying the reference "ygpdmt" and we will attempt to add support for it.

I had a non-supported device show up. It's either my VKB SEM or my STECS Standard. Reference ID is "tetxxv". I had to resubmit because the random string of the previous attempt would have likely triggered the language protections.

Received code ljljxw using STECS STG

edit: posted without scrolling through and just saw STECS not yet supported. What is needed? Willing to help out if it's doable by noobs. lol

I am working on getting Brammers all the info they need for the Left handed STECS Max (includes the STEM and ATEM modules) with the STG grip on it and if the first one I sent is what is required, I will be swapping back to the split throttle and get that info as well. if anyone has a Right handed version, it would be nice to do some comparison to make sure that it is all the same, just flipped.

One thing about the STEM module, I changed the type of button that the "Landing Gear" switch on my STEM and I would have to find the part I switched and return it to it's original setup, but it the button numbers should be the same. the only thing I don't know is if the center position has a numerical value, ED only registers when the switch is the up and down positions for me now.

The other thing is that there is a Mk.I and a Mk.II version of the split throttle grip and from what I can see, I have a Mk.I. The main difference seems to be a 5 way hat in MB1 and a pushbutton in MB2, and the Mk II is a mini joystick in MB1 and the 5 way hat in MB2. I really don't feel like spending $55 + shipping to get the replacement Mk.II, so if anyone has it, we might need the button mapping for the Mk.II to see how much it differs from the Mk.I

For Brammers
