Release EDSC - New Trailblazers web tool

We've identified an issue where the Cargo Delivery Details on the Progress Details screen aren't displaying as expected.

The good news is that the new graph is working beautifully and provides a great visual summary of your progress.

We're actively working on resolving the display issue and appreciate your patience while we get it sorted!

The Progress Details screen has been completely revamped to give you clearer insights into your construction progress. Here’s what’s new:

Progress Graph: Visualize the percentage of required commodities delivered so far.

Cargo Details by Delivery: View cargo drop-offs grouped by delivery timestamp.

Additional improvements:

  • If multiple commanders contribute, deliveries may appear as separate entries.
  • Progress bars now show:
    • 🟦 Blue = Total delivered to date
    • 🟩 Green = Amount delivered in that specific drop
  • The progress percentage reflects all deliveries to date, not just the current one.
Note: Constructions marked as Complete using the Complete Construction option will not display Cargo Details unless at least one delivery was made.

Thank you for being so patient. It is worth noting that the Cmdr developing this feature was not ejected from the airlock; however, their timely completion was motivated by a limited oxygen supply - possibly influencing the choice of colours.

Frontier Developments have recently changed many of the facilities statistics (Max. Pop., Tech Level, Dev. Level, etc.) since Trailblazers was started. For example, all Orbital Outposts, and all Planetary Settlement facility types now have an 'Initial Population Increase' and ‘Max. Population Increase’ of 1, when they originally had none. These changes have been updated in all constructions in game retrospectively, so many of your finished buildings will have slightly increased statistics.

We have now made the same updates to all the facilities in EDSC, and applied these changes retrospectively to all of your constructions, completed or in-progress. You should see the stats bars for your systems, and the coloured dots, are now slightly higher.

A big thank you to Phoenix452_74 for letting us know about these changes, as we couldn't find any information on the official FDev Forums! o7 Cmdr!

We've resolved an issue where cargo could be incorrectly registered when a commander had multiple constructions of the same type.

To help you better identify your constructions, you can now add or edit a custom facility name.

Look for the yellow pencil icon – it allows you to set or update the name of your facility.

This feature is available in both the Dashboard and Construction Manager views.

Happy building, Commander o7

Thank you, Freyer.

We're currently hard at work on a major beta release, which will introduce a wide range of updates, including fleet carriers!

As you may have seen in the patch notes, the relationships between facilities are finally being "documented." However, the full extent of their reach hasn't yet been fully explained. If the system is indeed as straightforward as the model they've shared, there's potential for a massive number of interconnected relationships. This poses some challenges from a development standpoint, but we are actively exploring solutions to make the system manageable and sustainable. We've been preparing for worst-case scenarios by analysing a sample of the systems listed in EDSC, and some of them are exceptionally large. Fortunately, we've developed a formula to give us the maximum number of stations within a system from the data supplied — an important step toward properly scoping the work ahead.

Thank you again for your continued support.
o7,
Cmdr.

Thank you. We are really pleased with the development so far. We know some things would be nice to have, and a few things should be there to function better. As all the Cmdrs here use it daily, we quickly identify these things. However, with limited development resources, we have to prioritise the development pathway. FDev have not listed all changes, and we do try hard to notice what happens in-game and have also had some notifications from Cmdrs using EDSC, which is of great help.

Fleets Carriers - Our next major release is coming soon. We are ironing out some functionality in how they will work, and progress is on track atm.

The changes happening tomorrow by FDev are also at the forefront of our development, and we are looking into a new optional interface for dealing with part of them. We're pretty sure that you'll like it!

Thank you Cmdr, o7

We are currently working on the changes made to constructions and will update all current construction stats (completed or being built) and the effects on system economies.

Currently, we are seeing things that are not correct for our Cmdr's systems, and we will continue to use our current economy assignment methods until we see stability (or indeed the next "fix" from FDev)

We are working on some exciting new features and are currently testing fleet carriers, which I can now say is in our next major update.

We have completed the background revision of the data. All new constructions will use this data. We have applied a "fix" to all existing constructions, which will have updated the economies.

As of yet, we have not managed to find any information on "weighting" of economies and are looking into how the now "System Economy Influence" (a change from System Economy for a construction) is functioning. We are seeing inconsistent data with some of our commanders' systems.

As a general question and as it relates to this tool - is there a way to know which type of facilities I've already built other than flying to each and comparing it to pictures of a given layout?

I'm afraid that this seems to be missing from all available data. We've recently been looking into a way around this, but as of yet, we have not found one. We are still undergoing development of our next release, so there may be something we've not got to yet that may do this.

We have added the ability to name facility constructions, which does help, but alas, only for new constructions.

EDIT: You can go to the Architect View, select a construction and rename it - that will give you the icon for the type.
