Discussion EDScout and undiscovered systems

Hi, I have been using EDScout to find out good objects to scan. I noticed that it shows undiscovered (not in EDDB) systems with ? in nav route. This got me thinking about a new tool. I suppose journal does not include systems that we can see in the navigation list? Could those system names be read somehow (OCR) and compared to EDDB and if there was a system not found in EDDB, it would show a possible undiscovered system. This might even help finding Raxxla :)

Short of OCR, we don't have any way to gather all of the nearby systems that you see in your left hand panel. The closest we get is that If you plot a route, an event was recently added to the player journal that can allow us to look up the star systems along that route using 3rd party databases and see if those systems are already recorded.

What I have done now is that when I arrive to a new system, I have gone through the left hand panel system list one by one and checked from EDScout if it is undiscovered or worth anything. This has been ok in Colonia since there are so much undiscovered systems that I usually find them this way. Problem is that it is pretty slow. The next chosen system always erases the previous one. It would be super handy if EDScout could have a mode where it would show for example 50 last systems chosen. Usually there is 50 systems in the left hand list. Then I could do a key press routine to voice attack to go through the list. This would make finding undiscovered systems so much easier.
