EDSM for xbox not updating

Arkamonta, occasionally unlinking the account under your Security tabs and then relinking it through Frontier's site - sometimes - helps clear the logjam and the importing begins again.

Yeah, I've done this step a couple different times over the last few days, but I'm still getting the same result. Last location logged on EDSM was from April 4th - The updater finishes it's countdown then flashes a message - "The Frontier Auth Service is currently not available, please try again later."

The updater then displays the same system from before, along with the 3 planets I mapped in that system. - Hyuqau LO-F d12-6094

Gotcha...not sure what to tell you, then, CMDR. Just keep it running and hopefully the hamster gets back on the wheel.

Give Changing web browser render engine another go... after relaunching the game first , this will then issue a new token and New cookie data based on the new browser type... chrome to firefox or firefox to chrome...
webkit to webkit won't refresh the cookie type as its the same render engine...

I am getting the same issue (but on PS4). Inara.cz updates correctly using the Frontier account service but EDSM is weeks out of date. I have also tried removing the account link and reconnecting it with no change.

Edit: I think I noticed the issue by using the browser dev tool. EDSM will fetch new data only once every 60 seconds, but when it does it is requesting only one day at a time! You will have to wait 1 minute for each day you have not been logging data in EDSM. On days that you have data the progress bar will turn blue and say "uploading your journal events (<date>)" before resetting the 1 minute timer and waiting to fetch the next day.

This should be a sticky post! I was so upset wondering why EDSM wasn't updating (I had a break since 15th January) but then checking the inspector and waiting finally got to the files with data and is updating now!

It's odd however, as inara seems like it fetches all journals at once.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, ever since setting up my account EDSM is always blank, even after running the console updater. I've used the same login email and commander name as when I set up the auth service account and still nothing

This is quite late to the party, but EDSM just doesn't seem to like consoles. Likely there's too many "firewalls" (for a lack of a better term) to give proper information exported from the console player's. Unlike a PC, where it seems to pull the information directly from that platform (I'm not computer literate, I could be very wrong), EDSM would have to also go through MS and/or Sony before getting to the information we're expecting to see.

In my situation, EDSM will update proper location, credits and fleet, but it is completely incorrect on distances traveled, AX activities, and first discoveries. Basically it's useless, to me, because of the incorrect (or missing information) from my travels.

To state love the information and function in EDSM. But observation / use... As console user I was late the party using EDSM simply because priorities in game were more compelling.

Using Xbox One it does work(time of this post) if you use the sync function, currently named dashboard. However it currently (from use) has a 10 minute interval between sync events. Each event is one day. And yes if you you play sporadically it looks like its doing nothing. Until it hits a day with some data to sync. Not so long (earlier this year) it was 2 or 3 minutes.

The worst bit of this is is the environment. So playing the game well that's kid of the point but then sync equipment needs to be on for an hour to do 6 days whether you have data or not. 5ish for a month?

In balance. I have not tried running it on the XBOX while playing - in game hook for all platforms would be great if technically possible. Or some form of authority for relevant parties to share data guess that less likely as the cost would prohibit.

Its also unclear if the browser needs to be in foreground. I have seen it go wrong plenty when set to the task minimised - then you some back and you have to refresh the screen to get a sensible reading. Which also of course sets you back to a 10 minute wait.
