So when you roll the edtracker, does it roll correctly on the little head, like this (dodgy photoshop incoming):well yes....i just was wondering if i did something wrong
My EDTracker does not show roll either. If rolling isn't working then it might be the edtracker itself that's the problem? Maybe it doesn't have roll, I'm not sure if some older ones didn't?
True, I have a vague recollection of not seeing roll on my first edtracker, one of the early DIY ones I built on a small test breadboard. My EDTracker does not show roll either.
EdTracker Pro UI 2.0.0.0
Firmware: 2.2

OpenTrack 2.3.11 is happily giving me roll (& pitch and yaw). I can see the Yaw & Pitch & Roll values changing.... And you can see my mappings in link above...
NOTE: I'm sure I can use more up to date software, but if it isn't broke, why risk breaking it!
In OpenTrack, make sure in the Joystick Input definition for the ED Tracker, you have the yaw, pitch and roll all allocated. I have:-
- X Disabled
- Y Disabled
- Z Disabled
- Yaw Joystick axis #2
- Pitch Joystick axis #3
- Roll Joystick axis #4
I did put roll at open track on joystick axis 4 and it worked!!! Thanks! My version of edtrack is 4. Of course i set the curve to have minimal roll on ED cause it doesn't make much sense to have the view roll. just a bitMy EDTracker does not show roll either.

Yeah working now. I followed your graphs. On the roll i put very little cause i dont want the screen the roll , just super little for the immersion. Typically you dont need the roll function at all.....but its nice its workingSo you're all working now?
If you look at my maps, pitch and roll are big to small movements, so a small 8nitisl movement turns a lot.
Roll has a dead spot and has a more linear mapping.

WOW Thanks so much oi would really like that , thatwould maake it so enjoyable to play a non choppy gameforums.frontier.co.uk
I wanted to try the Edtracker again after not using it for a few years but it seems the company site/file hosting is down
Would anyone happen to have the Pro Wired firmware 2.2 or 3.4 (or even the 3.8beta) and be able to share it?
Many thanks in advance!
Thanks, downloaded the EdTracker Pro Wired v3.0.0.16 software from brumster's site and it's working correctly.
Still showing firmware 1.3b though, so it's slowly losing sync and drifting.
I think everything from hobbycomponents.com is for the EdTracker2/DIY version? I can't even connect to the EdTracker with their EDTracker2-GUI-V4.0.4 software.
Is it okay to use the hex files https://github.com/brumster/EDTracker2/tree/master/release/firmwares on my retail device providing I match the correct MPU version?
Is there a method to determine which MPU I have? Mine is the original without the white logo printed on it:

Edit:
Tried all those .hex firmwares and none of them function with my device - the EdTracker goes into a boot loop (thankfully didn't brick it!).
Really don't know where else to look and I can't contact the devs since the domain/emails are down and bounce back![]()
Just opened it up and it's the blue PCB, 2015 EDTracker Pro v1 with the MPU-6050.Do you know what board version you have?
Does the 6050 file from brumsters GitHub not work with it?Just opened it up and it's the blue PCB, 2015 EDTracker Pro v1 with the MPU-6050.
Looks like the one in the manual:
