Eeny meeny miny mo...which mod out of all shall go...

Having played with the G5 Executioner myself, could someone explain why it seems to be one of the most popular weapons? I find it slow (handling, rate of fire and reloading), cumbersome and anything but comfortable when compared to something like the Tormentor or a glitched out tunnel bore Intimidator.

Stealth cleaning bases from Scavs is the main use for me. It does require some targeting / leading skills
However, it can be used as an assault rifle (it can 2-shot anyone that has shields up or one-shot shieldless enemies) - but it requires a different mod set (hip fire accuracy being almost mandatory)

When things go crazy, i usually swap the Exec for Tormentor - however, versus top ranked npc it's no longer a 2-shot killer weapon. Still, it's powerful enough and the firerate is fast enough. Also being a sidearm, Tormentor's handles very well and it does not have much of an encumber factor

In High CZ, 'Extended Range' could be maybe good to kill 'Enforcers'. I noticed that even with their shield down, it stills take 2 bodyshots with Exec G5 to finish them. I'm not sure how 'Ext. Range' works, if it gradually reduces fall-off, then it might one-shot them (and CMDRs )

Nope, i dont think so.
IIRC the hitpoints for suits is like 30.
55% resist to plasma - and an executioner should not be able to one shot a G5 Dominator with Damage resistance

Sorry, are you talking about the Exec or the Intimidator (just curious) ?

Interesting, thx, I'm also dubitative like you. I'll do some real-life testing and let you know ;)

Is it me or it seems that a lot of mods effects have not been properly studied ? I was struggling last time to find studies about the different "spread / falloff / dmg" when mixing mods. It's confusing when you mix 'Scope' + 'HIP Acc' + 'Range' on the Intimidator o_O

Because in FPS distance-control is the most underrated way to survive. Exec is not the best to kill someone, but it allows you to try while staying "safe". You can see this when CMDRs bring a L-6 to CZ, they cannot defend themselves.

Executioner, my main use is stealth clearing bases
But i've seen the Executioner used as an assault rifle in CZ - (stability, magazine size, hip fire accuracy and one of the following: faster handling / reload speed / stowed reloading)

hip fire accuracy
Oh ! I didn't see this one coming. What effect does it have on the Exec ?? I thought this weapon always had "perfect" trajectory, "no spread".

Edit : for life saving shots with no ASD ?

Yea, but in a CZ, especially if you actively search for enemies, you will shoot from the hip more often than not.
And you'd miss a lot without hip fire accuracy

True, even in PvP, the Exec "no ASD" shot is very good, almost better than the Intimidator, lol

I'm a rusher though, that's what always peed off people in CS as well ("You can't play like that!"). ^^ Also, looking at your footage, these people are lucky you brought the plasmas as it feels like you would've trounced them even more with laser/kinetic. It's like low gravity skeet shooting. ^^

Depends on your playstyle I guess, I played a lot of CoD which basically means you're prescoping 24/7 so as not to be disadvantaged when someone jumps around the corner (and in that game, someone will jump around the corner). The only times I've shot things from the hip in Odyssey was because of the reload/scope bug and getting stuck on hipfire.

combat movement speed mitigates that somewhat since it lets you move pretty quick even aiming down sights

I love rushing ! I honestly spend most of my time doing that with the Intimidator. Rushing and harass people in close-combat is also part of the "distance control" theory. When I see someone with a L-6 I just rush it with no hesitations ;) Only it doesn't look as cool on video, so I put mostly my Exec footages 😬

I really want to practice with laser + kinetic now. I'm still not sure how it will sail in PvP compared to plasma. But I already see good results from CMDRs using it against me.

edit : and thx for watching my stuff ;)

Some people in that clip take so much time getting a shot in on you, I'm almost certain you could've lasered them down without even having to switch to kinetic. Given how the other weapons work, I can't imagine hitscan being anything else than an advantage (and perhaps a good reason to put Headshot Damage on a laser).
