Effects - setting: High run @ better performance than low/middle

I have many options set to low/disabled in order to get playable fps with my oculus.

After playing some days without the ocolus (had a cold) I really want to test the 'effects' setting again, because it just looks better and other ships are visualized.

I tried again with low setting and with middle settings (only the effects option) but both resulted in bad fps / massive judder.
so i gave this up again.

Being in front of a station i just want to see how it would look with high effects setting, and 'tada' the performance was ok.

Thus I have better fps whit my oculus when i set it to high than to a lower setting.

Maybe this behavior is the same to any of you, thats why i want to share my experience.

btw: i play on a single 780 gtx

Actually I had similar effects with using higher resolutions
I would rather have a slight judder at a higher res than dropping down a res or two

without oculus ( for trading ) I play all in high ( ultra option ), plus 1.5 DSR.
gtx 780, i7 975, 24 GB RAM, SSD, Win 8.1 Pro.newest nvidia driver

But with oculus, I need to use same setting again and again, no changes in patches or new drivers.

I also play with a single 780GTX and my experience is very mixed. Sometimes i have judder in stations or asteroid fields. Sometimes the judder is better, after logging off and on again in the same asteroid field or station.

Does anybody can play the game with a dk2 without judder? I do not think that it is an hardware issue only.
