So I docked into Weyl Hub in Aeternitas today only to find out there's an infrastructure failure going on and the commodity market is completely shut down.

There's no player faction involved with this, is there? That station was my primary source for personal weapons which has a lot of demand right now, so this is kind of a big deal for me.

EG Union is a Player Minor Faction (with an associated Squadron). Stations in IF, whilst not selling anything, do buy to solve their issue, IF's generally last +7 days.

Infrastructure Failures, like every state, are caused by player activity.

Whether this one was intentionally caused by player activity - they regularly happen just as a result of passing traffic - is a different matter. Delivering what few goods the market still demands may help shorten it, or you may just have to find somewhere else for now.
