EGX Reveals

Gotta say, absolutly fantastic that crashes are now in [big grin] With the knowledge of frontier trying to keep the game rating freindly, I was beggining to thing crashes was a no go, that the only thing they may implement is breakdowns. But they obviosuly listened (assuming it wasnt already planned [wink] ). The style of it has been played out nicley to have the best of both worlds too. Nice work!

For those worried about certain things still not being implemented... relax! As long as they are there by release its all good. If you are currently playing due to the alpha, you already know and have experienced enough periods of missing features to know its not the final product, so enjoy yourself and let time show what they can do.

In regards to people who backed the standerd version of the game, will they receive there steam keys before the "alpha weekend" (6th october)

Thank you.

Thanks for the video some good stuff. As for the wooden coaster they keep saying when they are happy they will release it. The game does not come out until November cant give you everything before than.

Just my feedback on today's topic's :

No staff zoning
I still dont think of this as a MUST have, as long as my staff is doing what they are supposed to do. Pirate king is supposed to entertain people in my pirate area. And janitors are supposed to clean, so i want to see -most- of them in crowded area's like the entrance and only see them occaisionally on silent corners of the park. If those 2 things can be done without zoning... im fine with it.

Water and Water rides
Needless to say we need water rides. Im not talking pools and slides like in soaked but i mean log flume, river rapids, darkride boats, etc. Jonny sounded very hesistant but i hope we get a nice slection of those as they are withing the "base repertoire" of most parks.

No real water mechanics is 100% fine with me. The explanation they gave is a very good one. Waterfalls can be nice but can also be made in a simulated way.
I guess this is purely a personal opinion but im perfectly fine with water the way it is right now.

VR
I don't mind much about VR. It would be nice to have but it doesn't have to do much with the core game so...it's a "would be nice".
What i did like more about this thing was that it sounded like this game will be supported for a long long time. And that definatly i love to hear! As much as i like the game, there are always things missing that i wanted to see. I really hope this game will be supported for years to come to see it evolve in a bigger and bigger game.
Just looking at the idea's forums is enough inspiration for years to come.

Conny Express
What can i say? I love it :D

The conny express is really nice and i think it was a good idea to show it with different stations.
Also liked how the Steam changed while entering the tunnel.

This will be fun to watch and work with.

I just watched the stream and there was some interesting stuff.

I have to say though that Frontier have done such an amazing job with the guests that the peep bowling makes me a little uncomfortable. They're not even real for God's sake but the devs have put SO much charm and personality into them that I'd fallen in love with them on the first day of Alpha, so 6 months on, I don't think my conscience would allow me to do it to them. Even though the peep bowling video was ace, Seeing the kids launched into the air in glorious slow-mo just seemed a little...........wrong.

And back to me, ( it's all about me) lol, Now that the M.U.T.T.s aren't just a Coaster Head Club exclusive, I can now release these puppies for those of you that just can't wait.

The Body was over 900 pieces so the head is separate. You can rotate it though so it's a good thing.

wait what? is the update live yet?

Game Title : Planet Coaster ..........
Everything but coaster development for I can't remember how long
Still no wooden coasters......... FAIL[down]

Wooden coasters are coming - they showed some development shots of track layouts (specifically corners and such) - although this may also have been CHC previews.

Rest assured they are coming and they (as others have said) have stated on numerous occassions that wooden coasters are coming, and won't be revealed until they have them right.

May I also point out to the many that say the Management features on show yet aren't detailed enough, they have promised that more is coming on this - and is evident obviously with other data tabs etc in alpha that are unable to be selected.

As hard as it is be patient - as we will be blown away with the final product release.... #InFrontierWeTrust

I agree mate. The one thing they did highlight is the Flume rides... by the way he said that I am expecting to see it in final release.. yes maybe not everything we all want - but I am confident we will see the Flume Ride

I would also like to say I was excited to see all the different outfits for the Princess (another thing that was asked for)...and Connie looks to be amazing...

--->> Indeed he was very hesistant. For me it sounded like it is not really sure, that water rides will make it for the final release. Maybe there are some serious dev issues with water mechanics like floating water.

+1 #InFrontierWeTrust

Nice stream! Very informative and glad to see and hear something in between Alpha 3 and Beta!

I see we maybe getting no restrictions in sandbox mode and for more fun and challenging, restricted costers for career mode.
One type of wtaer rides, the flume ride would completly satisfy my needs at release :D
Wooden Coasters are tricky because there are several challenges to solve, but i think we get at least one at release.
We need at least on Darkride and my guess is, halloween.. (i could be wrong).

And #HolyMotherOfTransportRides.. the steam train is looking sooo beautiful! Conforms the terrain, too and is having so much neat and awesome details and animations! I love it already!

Overall very positive and exciting things! They just do it (right)!

They have a LOT to do on theire lists.
So we could really do them a favour to calm down a bit and concentrating on the things, which are coming or are already in game! ;) They need in this last phase before the release motivation and positivity! It would be make the hard work much easier.

I don´t need the coaster crash, even if this is a "must have". I would see much more a fix for the banking transitions on the coaster! So that it is possible to build coaster smooth as they should be. Especially custom inversions and twisty twisty layouts on smaller, compact designs with short track segments :D

Nice video. Sci-Fi theme, breaks and crashes, maybe log flume ride and other water stuff [big grin], and Oh ...Transport ride. Thanks frontier, I enjoyed all these news. Hope to get more soon. ^^

How is your pirate king mascot going to know its inside your pirate area if you are usuing multiple elements of fantasy or mordern theming to make a better pirate area than only using the main pieces?
And you will tell me "well maybe frontier has coded the mascots to read how many elements of x type of theming are in place, if pirate pieces outnumber fantasy they think its a pirate area and will stay there"
And I answer you with:
1. It will cloag AI resources to a stupid decission that
2. Will not even work in the more complex parks where people create their own themes or existing themes are enhanced by mixing and matching other themes to the point where maybe the number of pieces is not acountable for what the theme is.

Pretty sure they are only going to walk around the WHOLE park, only in what frontier thinks is a more intelligent way.
That's not a good decission for their part and is something I think they need to change.

I was excepting a footprint-system like rct3 for staff. Now that is not gonna be, Iam curious how it will work out [cool]

Me too...It suppose to be more clever, so I can't wait to see.[big grin]

Maybe aside from scenery items being taken into account they might just only walk on the path type you plop them on? (Thus allowing us to create separated zones by just having different path types used to separate zones...)

Official reply

"We'll post more details on the forum as soon as possible. Steam keys for all orders with Thrillseeker status will be rolled out before the Alpha Weekend starts.

We're still working on getting a solid date for you❤︎ It will likely end up being some time between Friday the 30th and Wednesday the 5th."

I hope this helps everyone
