It's on it's way that's what this thread is about! Once FD switch the updated server back on the update will push through to steam and we will get a download

The fact that the time predictions always seem to be wildly optimistic is a bit annoying, but at we can't say Frontier aren't putting in effort with the game. I've only had it since the weekend and there's been an update every day. Wish I could say that about some other games...

Steam haas given me a 566.5kb update, and the standalone launcher has required me to download and install a new launcher, but no upgrade yet. the last official update expected them to be back up approximately 16 minutes ago, so I'm guessing they found a dead hamster or something in the server room.....

Have you tried/thought about head tracking software and/or hardware (TrackIR/FaceTrackNoIR etc.)?

I use ED Tracker myself. Can't see myself ever playing the game without it again.

Actually, I haven't even thought of that. I was thinking of OR or nothing. But now that you mention it, that could be a good/cheaper alternative then the OR. Then I can take care of my only annoyance and wait for all the OR improvements before I dump 400$ on one.

Not sure if it was just me - I didn't get an in-game message saying the servers were going down for patching - just on the home page when I was disconnected (I was using the Mac client).

If they really have to take the game servers down in the middle of the day when I want to play, it is frustrating that they can't stick to the hour window they promised.
