After loads of missions after 1.3 my Empire rep didnt move pass neutral. It got the blue up arrow but never changed. After the last patch it moved to friendly very quickly but after a few hours of missions I realised the joke was on me, for the third time.

Someone had a theory about it showing your correct title but some bug made you a few ranks lower. The cracker is that you have to gain all the reputation back in one swoop since there won't be progression missions on the ranks you have already.

lol I was thinking the same thing. I figured I would be smart and go get the yardwork and my daily errands done early so I could spend all this time playing.. by the time I finished I was able to log-in just as the servers went down. :(

Oh well, I can't complain.. having a company that is consistent on putting out updates is a great thing. Since so many "Early Access" games I have bought off Steam end up getting uninstalled because the Devs promise more then they can deliver, give up, and then hackers take over.

I've only been playing a few days, but I have enjoyed the game so much I went and ordered a Saitek X52 Pro HOTAS system. It'll be here tomorrow so I can't wait to try it out. Should be way more fun then a kb/m. Hope it will take the game to a completely different level, like when I bought the Logitech G27 Racing Wheel for The Crew and dropped playing with the kb/m setup.

I'm glad they're at least trying to work on the Oculus Rift support though, I almost bought one today to go with the HOTAS setup, to really get into the action. I decided to hold off for the new OR they are working on, that way I know for sure I will be able to use the OR without any major issues. ..That and I want to see how much of a difference the HOTAS makes. I have a feeling though, if I enjoy the new setup, I will probably crack and buy the current OR available, as my main gripe with controls for ED is constantly locking/unlocking my headview to look around my ship. So being able to do that freely with the OR, plus the added bonus of it being 3D, with the HOTAS setup, will probably make this one of the most enjoyable games I have played of all time.

Props to Frontier, I've played tons of other Space games, like EVE, Evocron, Starpoint, and the X-Series. I dumped them all after a few days. I accidentally stumbled into this awesome little gem and almost bypassed it because of all my bad experiences with the previously mentioned titles. I am so glad I decided to buy it, haven't been sucked into a game this much in a long while. So keep up the good work, I will definitely buy a few ship skins just to donate a few bucks so you guys can order a pizza while working on updates ;)

This is ongoing at the moment if I read it correctly? (Sorry not sure what time zone :) ). been getting "Can't connect to edServer: unknown error" for the pat hour :(

News alert Ed, we only go to "Patch Notes" when we want to see the details of the current patch. If we are looking for verification of server downtime, the place most go is to "News and Updates", but a more considerate place to put it would be in the header section of the general forum. Cheesh...
