I Can't install the game. I keep getting the "no response from upload stream signal. Network connection closed" Ort, it will star progressing, then the bar would just freeze....

Oh you lucky souls who get so agitated for a bit of an extended downtime... back in my days these kinds of things could take several days, uphill both ways, in the snow, running through a hail of frogs, dodging starving direwolves.

It took about this long to load Elite on tape onto the bbc b back in 84. Then it would crash and you would have to start the loading all over again once you had fiddled with the head bias on your tape deck. You guys never had it so good

I just loaded it onto my spectrum 128k and it wont work, it's only compatitable with a 48k. arghhhhhhhhh

you have to type
LOAD"ELITE-DANGEROUS"

128k is fine....bit choppy on the 48

Which then gives me an image of David Braben sucking off an Alien (obviously not by choice... well maybe) and staff generally running around in chaos and some poor sod experiencing some real life alien isolation...
