Do not release that roadmap. That was your problem with season 2. Telling the modern gaming community your plans has zero benefits. They will force you to stick to the roadmap despite better alternatives (such as delaying ship launched fighter and multi-crew for core gmae improvements first) and will still complain you dont tell them what is going on. Keep your ability to tailor each update to benefit the game the best at that specific time. Do not trap yourself again. Your attempts at pleasing the "community" will never work. Dont screw over those that arent trolls by forcing potentially bad updates on everyone.

You cant add content without the required framework features. Build a house and roof it without all the wall and let me know how well it works for you.

I`ve been fooled by promises before, and You dear Fd are on my "I`ll believe it when I see it" list, your good intentions not always go hand in hand with good content

Having said that, the change of course (focus on core gameplay) is an excellent decision in my opinion and one to be applauded loudly

I hope that you will be able to deliver and revisit Exploration, wings, powerplay, SC mechanics, crime and punishment and the dreadful USS, well generally improve on persistence and dynamism of the world (and don`t forget the years ago promised orrery map, and while you are at it go print the Ship Model for Liqua).... There is a TON of work to be done, and i`m still sceptical, but i want to believe.

If you deliver and prove me wrong, I`ll gladly stop the "whining" and go back to where i was up until Gamma, which is being an Elite franchise fan and supporter, and I`ll make sure to spread the word about the positive change, just like I used to promote David`s games and their legacy before

I want to come back... please make me

What promises? What is wrong with the gaming community? Just because a dev says somethign doesnt mean its confirmed to make it into a game at a very specific time. I general plan is not a promise of anything. The only promises ever made by Frontier are that Planetary Landings, Upgrading, Shp launched fighters, and multi-crew would be implemented. The dates were subject to change from the beginning and the featuers delivered. Thier state was never confirmed either.

I was just about to ask the same thing myself, hoping Zac hadn't left for the day. Surely this is something that can be answered now, rather than having to wait for the special events and such?

Oh, and hell yeah, a big thumbs up and thank you for this post Zac.

This sounds great, FD are making the right decision to use a lot of the next season to add some more layers to existing gameplay. There have been some big extensions to the game in the last 18 months, and they all need some refinement to take the game to the next level. I personally am happy to sacrifice a season of major extensions for a season of putting together some great gameplay.

heh, only partially in jest :p Good to see that there is going to be some focus on the many incomplete frameworks in the game.

They told obsidian ant a long time ago that the biege is a result of a new material system and only earth colors have been added to it. They then said they are working on adding new colors but it wont make it in 2.3. Its been, "being worked on".
