Greetings Commanders.

Here with another Episode of Live Release Tracker...
As mentioned in the following thread from yesterday HERE, we are gearing up for the release of 4.0 today for Elite Dangerous PC Commanders.

This thread will be updated with information 'on the go'.

I currently owe you:

• Downtime schedule. Done
• Update on deployment time of release and server return.
• [ONCE LIVE] Further clarity on expectations with the release, along with known issues (standalone release post).

Again, as mentioned in yesterday's post, we're very busy behind the scenes right now, making preparations with this. Being as real as possible - This is a big one!

Please do continue to accept my apologies for lighter than usual interaction from me, personally, in other areas of the Forum throughout the day.
Bruce will be on hand to support with responses o7

Greetings Commanders:

Server Downtime Schedule (all in BST)
10:00 - We begin in game, 1 hour warning to downtime, broadcast message.
11:00 - All Elite Dangerous servers goes down to begin deployment of 4.0.
TBD THIS AFTERNOON (YOU WILL BE KEPT INFORMED o7) - Servers return with the 4.0 update available.

Little under 5 minute warning until server downtime!
We're looking to be offline for 'several hours' or targeting relaunch around 'early afternoon' as benchmark expectation setting however, again, you'll hear all of the live updates here first as soon as I can get them to you o7

A slight change to the proceedings from the original post/yesterday's comms plan -

• A little focus shift with comms.
  • Once 4.0 is Live, I'm going to hand over to Bruce who will deliver a release focused post along with any known issues, which will welcome open discussion there, rather than that information muddying this thread's focus on release schedule intent.
  • This will also go live on Web and Social of course. We'll coordinate that as we usually do.
• Obligatory acknowledgement that the Server Status does indeed specify that all is OK when in-fact they are truly offline.
  • We certainly do continue to apologise for the confusion this causes. We are looking to address this moving forward.

Greetings once again, Commanders.

We've just hit lunchtime on this side but I'd like to hop in and say that I don't have anything further for you at present on an ETA for the deployment to be available and servers to return, however the necessary final checks need to be exceptionally thorough with this (As I'm sure you can imagine).

Just wanted to ensure you that you're not forgotten o7

(It'll be myself posting the release thread now, by the way...I keep pulling the rug, don't I? Keeps things exciting at this point, I guess...).

The deployment of 4.0 is shortly complete. Servers are looking to begin spooling up within the next half an hour (potentially less).
You'll hear it here first when we're live, followed by the official release post which will be open for discussions o7
