I agree that placeholder avatars would be welcomed, but they would need to give them some love performance wise nonetheless because otherwise you would soon recognise repetitive motion which would deaden them. They would soon appear to be like automated dummies. They would need to respond to what's happening to appear alive. Considering that your own pilot doesn't do that yet then maybe it's something they are leaving until another season.

edit: wrong thread oops ;p

Quite so. I wish they could just put same copy pasted pilot avatar into those empty chairs (and control towers in stations as well) and thus breathe a little bit life into the game, at least visually if not by other means.

I'm an explorer at heart and, to me, it really breaks realism to dive into the vast unknown, through a very long journey, aboard a massive ship such as an anaconda... with no one else on board. I don't expect NPC crew members do achieve complex tasks : just a bit of autopilot and looking pretty next to me. Come on, I'm not asking for the moon.

The lack of this feature freezes my game experience and slowly kills my desire to play. I'm very disappointed and I honestly think that, no matter what the next season will bring, I'm not getting it if npc crew isn't part of it quite soon, before I get bored.

I know it's their game and they decide in the end, but I can see many players feeling a bit like me about that, and FD should pay attention to their customers' sensible wishes : they of course don't have to, but we don't have to pay either...

With the introduction of passengers missions and avatars for us i will be pretty sure that FD will be bring npc around stations and settlements so we can expect something down the line ;)

the game is not social at the moment (and may never be considering the enormity of the galaxy) - finding human players unlike other games is a chore - its on a person to person basis - with no galaxy wide broadcast and chat (a good thing IMO) - its also important to have The Guadians fighters for the Lone Wolves like me.

Passengers, multicrew, walking in ships. It would all be there, but in the end I only see minor upgrades and everything is just not the way it should be. (but that's my opninion) It is going to be more and more a console game.
Pitty, because this game is in some way addictive, you can't stop and start every time again. But I'm afraid they don't gonna make it against the spacegames which are around the corner.
I wonder, maybe the devs can't do better or the platform of the game is not good enough for a great spacegame for 2017.
They promissed landing on planets with an atmosphere, but don't do it now, because they want to do it right. Well if I see how they implemented the missions all in spreadsheet form I wonder what " do it right" means.
Walking in my spaceship while flying, land on a planet behind some trees...
I'm afraid it will take years. If it ever will be there. And that's bad, because I like this game and I wanted a big amazing update so badly.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Yeah, let's not necro a thread on this when we already have several current ones on the same topic.
