Did I touch a raw nerve? Are you the QA manager? I don't see anything offensive in my language.

I think his issue is you are asking if the QA manager was "shot"...I think we understand this is hyperbole and you aren't actually advocating for someone to be physically harmed or killed....
 
The comment was 'tongue in cheek' (a joke!). I dont think it is me who needs to take it easy tbh :)

Ah well, somehow it didn't relate from your post we are referring to. Good that you made this clarification though :)

I just would recommend consideration when pulling jokes like that since your tone might not necessarily transmit via keyboard.

No problems while connecting here.

- Did the update, no fresh install
- Did not change anything on my machine
- I'm not using Windows firewall
- Login position was Eranin, 15k away from Azeban
- game installed on SSD
 
Try to check out Windows Firewall settings, there are reports file location has changed and might require resetting and re-adding rules.

I know it's not an issue with my firewall as I use kaspersky and it automaticly updated its self and also the reply on my ticket:-

Suggesting that someone should be shot (especially for such a minor "offence") is far more offensive than naughty words such as "****", "****", "****", or even "******* ****".

At least, it is to any normal, rational, intelligent person. A group to which you obviously do not belong.

Re-installing didn't help. Now I just sit here helplessly and wait that they do something about it.

Normally i don't tell people this.
But someone knowing what he's doing could test: Disable local firewall (not the router FW) and Anti Virus programs.
Only for testing if it makes a difference!

Great news and unexpected.

I cant work out why the download takes an age, been nearly 60mins and counting now. I have 120mg download on VM.....it should be fast.
 
Have you looked into your _networkLog and _debugOutputlog in your game folder for clues? (they are text files).

I haven't. Any clue what I should be looking for? I am kinda new to this beta testing thing (my first beta ever).

EDIT: I can't even find such files from the program files/frontier/ folder.. Should I be looking elsewhere?

As my install works properly, I would not be sure but I'd look for messages indicating failures or exceptions and try to see how they relate to networking and crashing - As since the main changes have been networking wise that is probably where the blocker lies.

I'd also look at the windows error log to see if any app crash of the executable has been registered and try to determine the return code (exception error or other.)

Thats good to hear :) At least someone can play (except that here you are on the forums) ;)

Anyhow, I can't find such files from the game folder. I'll try harder. Thanks for your advice.
