It has slowly gotten worse with each new update and no tweaking to the graphics settings changes the frame rate drops. It really does annoy in a combat situation, you can be 400m away from your target, it will then freeze for about a second and the next frame you see your target is right in your face.
 
I'm trying to resolve the tarach spice bug. 8 units of this rare goodie is stucked on my cargo hold and seems that the only solution to avoid this bug is to self destruct the ship.

Now, in your opinion...

Is it a good idea to sell every module/weapon/outfit element (except essential to move out of station, of course) to minimize my loss balance for rebuy cost?
 
messages in chat "transmission not sent - unable to connect to player"

Hello fellow pilots and Devs.

I have one little problem with chat. When i'm writing into chat very often so it's ok. But if i'm writing into chat only sometimes so in 90 percent first message will not be sent to my friend because the server unable to connect to player. This usually does if me or my friend we do something between chat messages ( for example buying,docking ,flying in hyperspace or just when at little moment we don't communicate.) Sometime messages have bigger latency or something like that. Can you check it, if you have same problem? Thank you very much for your answers and i'm sorry for my english language but i'm not coming from England ^^.

ditto here. Has a dev commented on this yet? i wold like to kmow if this will be fixed retrospectively or if its broken and best to lay off it for now.

i can imagine it may be unfixable esp is someone else scans in meantime

Microstutter Issue 1:

I'm seeing microstutter after the 1.1 update and an upgrade to a NV 970 GTX from an AMD HD 5830, regardless of settings. with multiple sync settings, and preloading settings. Framerates remain perfectly stable, not a massive issue but when they happen at 300 FPS its clear something is wrong other than GPU load

To check this I spin in a roll in empty space with FPS showing, and I see millisecond delays where the starfield jumps ever so slightly, it is consistent and visible through any movement

Resource Loading Issue 2:

In addition to this I'm also seeing massive 1-2 second delays when geometry such as asteroid belts and planets, several each time until they are loaded, the performance is much worse than 1.07 on the AMD card and it looks like something to do with the 1.1 update.

TO check this I have flown towards a gas giant or asteroid field (the latter so individual asteroids are visible) and see entire pauses until network traffic seems to drop to a minimal level for gas giants. Asteroid belts seem to have a more persistent issue

Lack of CPU Use Issue 3:

I have 16 cores of which barely any are used and CPU use of around 5-8%. I have added my CPU to the config file with 8 cores or 16 cores (1 or 2 CPU's) to no effect.

I have used resource monitor to check CPU speed and per core and per node usage on a left screen

Issue 4: NVIDIA Anti-aliasing settings seem to have no effect, do not override the game settings.

I have tried several combinations restarting the game, using global and game specific profiles, with different settings for the anti-aliasing in game.


I don't have video recording software or frame rate tracking software installed but this seems to be a massive issue, Videos on YouTube show Far Cry 4 outperforming empty space in Elite since the 1.1 update.

I have tried all in game settings with speeds varying from 30 FPS with high settings and high levels of anti-aliasing to 200 to 300 FPS. Most in game settings make very little difference, with resolution and anti-aliasing having the biggest impact, along with network traffic and location.

I have tried high numbers of driver settings

Issue 5: NVIDIA's small new feature MFAA (I think) has no impact in Elite Dangerous (which would increase aliasing performance without such a massive cost)

Good luck, I hope you can get this issues resolved, personally I don't think I can play the game while it is like this, but I'll keep checking the forums in hope

I've got something weird going on within the universal cartographer.

I'll check properly tomorrow but I think I may have multiple systems disappearing when I sell one.
I'Ll ticket it when I have the full facts :cool:

Just me being an idiot, I pressed the 'sell page' button.

I didn't have my new feature sensor activated. :rolleyes:
 
Just picked up a DESTROY WARZONE mission from Empire space CD-51 102 MCDERMOTT ENTERPRISE, warzone location BW PHOENIX..and after a thorough search these is no warzone at BW PHOENIX???

Right now there's all blank Galnet News items, and one news piece in French. I've never touched any localization options.
All Discovered By tagging is missing in GM
 
A strange issue I've had since the latest update. My pulse lasers have disappeared. I mean they're still there, they deploy, the sights come up and they even make the usual laser noise. But no lasers actually appear and they can't damage anything. It's frustrating. I don't play so regularly so maybe it's something that will sort itself out but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
 
Universal Cartographics doesn't seem to be crediting first discoverer correctly in some cases - I'm selling info for systems that didn't previously have a tag where I've scanned the whole system and there will be weird omissions like all the planets round one sun and the sun itself, or in one case just a 7th planet round a sun and its moon. I only noticed it because it's happening in high value systems and I want my bonuseseseses! Once sold my commander name is being tagged onto the planets I was credited for, but there's still nothing on the ones I wasn't given credit on, so it doesn't appear as if someone else has scanned and sold them first.

Edit: It doesn't seem to be recording where detailed scans have been made correctly. For example for one of the systems I've just sold there are 5 planets I've detail scanned, the values in the UC breakdown look about right for those kinds of planets with a detailed scan, but they aren't marked with "Detailed Surface Scan" and no discovery credit has been given despite no tags being on the system when I scanned it, or sold the info.

Very peculiar!

That just happened to me today in my Eagle.
Also, the gear that I purchased for my sidewinder last time I played disappeared. And the money I paid for them, about 76000, is also gone. :(

Ditto, seeing the same. I have also noticed since latest update pronounced stutters in SC when approaching stations with a planet close to the flight path. Happened every time last night. Getting solid framerate at 70-80fps but stuttered so badly I actually overshot the station because I couldn't cut thrust to 75%.

I've taken the same approach just in case, messing around in and around Yembo instead for now :). Somewhat more optimistic, thinking if they managed to do retrospective tags for stuff before the feature was in they can at least fix the tags even if they can't return lost bonus credits.
 
The News Feed keeps changing from English to either French or German. First saw it on the 14th (French), thought it might be a Valentines Day joke (language of love and all that), but the switching to German put paid to that theory.:eek:

I figure this is the place to mention this, but I have been trading in a private bubble for many hours. Never once did I experience the mysterious station deaths so often mentioned. Today, I decided to brave the sharks and trade in open. Bam, deployed my gear to land, and blew up. Is it specific to Open play?
