I like the app, but it resets the wallpaper every time I reboot my tablet despite the fact that I told it to not automatically change my wallpaper, which is slightly annoying.

Hey Dinosawer,

Could you let me know your Android version, device model and if you're rooted or not and I'll investigate and see what the problem may be.

Device is an Asus Memopad HD 7, android 4.2.2, not rooted.

Ok. While I investigate, could you try going to your android settings>apps>E:D Countdown and do Clear Data. May as well try a re-install of the app. See if any of that helps.

Tried both, neither helped sadly. It happens about half a minute after boot, when my tablet is "completely booted" if you get my meaning, and it ahead changes to the default Elite logo wallpaper, that's any help.

Hello again, I think I may have tracked the problem down!

When I released this version the idea was that the app would reset the wallpaper to the E:D logo when the countdown to premium beta was reached - this has long since passed, but if you haven't set a countdown with a future date then the app is erroneously resetting the wallpaper.

So! Quick work around is to set the countdown to some time in the future. You don't even have to pay attention to the countdown if you just want to use it as a wallpaper app - just make sure the countdown is in the future.

I'll get a proper fix uploaded asap!

Thanks, that seems to have solved it! Now I don't have to reinstate my wallpaper every time :D

This must be a joke. An app to count down days? I already have an app for that, it came with my device. It's called a calendar. Try it, no bugs, no using up extra space and memory. It's great.

Current version is counting down to the 30th anniversary by default. You can change it.

The app is not official, so since a release data hasn't been set it uses whatever significant Elite related date there is. Currently that is the 30th anniversary. It's just a bit of fun.

I have set mine to the 30th for beta 2.

Thanks for the answer. I know the app is not official and that you can manually set your own countdown dates. But I was wondering what the next thing would be, update or beta2 and so on. ;)

Loving this, a lot! Just wondering if there is an option to add addtional wallpapers? Or have a central location we can put candidate screen shots ect..?

Thanks! :)

At the moment I'm concentrating on a couple of other projects, but what I learn from them I may be able to apply to a future ED:Countdown update with a view to offering more wallpapers/screenshots.

I may even do a new/separate app for it, since wallpaper/imagery would be the focus rather than a countdown to something we only just discovered the release date to! I trust you all changed the countdown appropriately!

Nice app that works well, well done. Do you have any future plans for it past the game release date?
Another quick question...what's the app using full network access for, is it for an ad SDK?
