Patch Notes Update Elite Dangerous: Horizons patch 2.0.04

Maybe a litte bit offtopic, but does the quest timer stop while the game isn't playable/while patching?
I guess it's wishful thinking... I was just about to turn ~20-40 empire missions in, got the "shutdown in 3 min" message and got kicked out :(

No it does not stop :(

Throttle forwards bug is the one that really irritates me, sometimes the damn SRV just wont come out of reverse gear unless you can find a slope to reverse up.

It makes it really difficult to collect materials in confined spaces such as around the barnacles and it happens to me about 50% of the time no matter which control method i try.

Yeah that is an annoying one, but I have found all you have to do is turn on driving assist then throttle forward and you will start moving again. Then just turn the assist back off :)

I have that advantage that, as I work weekends, my weekends are Tuesday and Wednesday. I am drumming my fingers on the keyboard, waiting for the update to complete!

Word up!

Hi Brett,

thanks for the patch.

I don't like to ask, but can you please tell us about the progress regarding the system informations bug on the galaxy map? You know, stuff like allegiance, government type etc. doesn't get updated when the control over a system changes. Would be great to hear you're working on this issue since it's seemingly getting postphoned for months now. (have a look here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=212920&p=3309249)

Thanks!

Captain Kirby

I was chatting to her [SJA] a wee while ago. She said she had completed a lot of work on the AI and was waiting for it to to be released in to the live game. I think the sky darkened at that point and then there was a sinister laugh, possibly accompanied with lightning!

This is the sort of news that sounds like good news upon first reading and but then, with a little reflection, sends shivvers down me spine, me' harties! Yar, we're in fur a keelhauling and no mistaking!

The throttle thingy, I have found personally it is due to me leaning forwards on the HOTAS stick. I probably need to go into key binds and figure how to remove the stick axis from the throttle... it kinda jams up like you have a permanent slight forwards or reverse throttle until I use the stick to centralise the throttle to re-zero it... That might be my general ineptitude though and nothing to do with other folks' bug?

Those old Mk I Scarab's are notorious for that gearbox fault. It should have been a product recall in my opinion.

You don't even want to know how they did on emissions testing.

I know it's super annoying. When it happens I quickly switch drive assist on/off, it resets the throttle and I regain control over it in one push of a button. Kind of a dirty workaround it does help me control the SRV better and not freak out over how         annoying it is :p

I also work weekends (Fri,sat, sun, mon) so my weekend starts Tuesday morn and finishes Friday afternoon so three days of playing and pubs and playing and pubs. So roll on update few more hours then down the pub.
