A new video from Scott Manley, with an interview with David Braben clicky here.

Really good video, I dont know how that Manley bloke does it, mind you it must have cost him a fair amount to get there for that Conference! How great it must be to have so much disposable income to spend on a space gaming hobby.

But yeah great interview, September this year put in my Outlook diary already. Love the idea of getting a massive ship that just fits through the standardised docking port - would that be the Puma Clipper maybe?

Also good to see David feels there should be a third person view to be able to see around your ship, a must for any sim surely.

Thanks Scott.

Did just see the last vid of Scott and braben was a giggly geek Meeting for sure :D both of em cud not stop smiling

Great interview and interesting to see FD at GDC.

They should have a word with those nice people from Oculus. :)

Thank you. Also, the media works fine for people outside the shores of the UK without having to revert to using a proxy.

Thats one of their crapest articles ive seen on the game so far.

Surely they had more to say about it than that? A few words about how beautiful it was and that it ummmm yeah exists. This iteration of the alpha is a magnitude of order increase in terms of what we can do in the game, its the kernel of the final game working right there now.

Maybe they didnt have an alpha access to review it properly if thats the case then come on FD - give em a slot and get some coverage :)

I'm of the opinion that RPS has been going downhill for quite some time now. It does at least point to the Scott Manley video which does a good job of showing off the Alpha.

Just thought I should chip in and mention that I work in San Francisco - GDC is literally a block away from my office. Raised and educated in Scotland, but now living in the USA.

Enjoying your videos Scott - that was a great one with DB too.

The DB one was great, his enthusiasm and love for the game really shines through in Scott's video, always really, but in that video even moreso, just the sheer glee. I loved the little scene where he helps Scott with the buttons for the power distribution. Was a real 'Daaaad! Stop it!' sorta moment.
